Objective:

I am looking to secure a full or part time employment position. I have extensive experience in various office duties. I have owned my own businesses and been employed in various positions in everything from reception to management. I am an efficient self-starter with attention to detailed organization. I am confident that assigned duties will be carried out effectively and professionally.

Skills and Achievements:

I am experienced in many aspects of office operations. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Works, Photoshop, receivables, payables, filing, problem solving, billing, invoicing, records management and scheduling. More recently I opted to go back to work under the ADA rules. Newsletter Editor for the American Legion using Printmaster. In 2016 I was a Tennessee State American Legion Auxiliary Delegate to the National Convention in Reno, NV. I am also an avid volunteer and have received awards from Angel Food Ministries, Volunteer of the year awards for Benton County, Tennessee and the American Red Cross

Domino’s Pizza, Waverly 2/25/22-current

Customer service working the Pizza making line, the oven and cut table, cash registers and the drive-up window. Worked part time according to a weekly schedule. Changed to full time after my official retirement in February 2023. Currently I am a.General Manager in Training (GMIT) at the Waverly store.

Navient-Xtend Services: 3/2021-2/25/22

Work from home as a customer service rep setting up appointments and sharing information about Covid 19 from the CDC originally for the State of Tennessee then was transferred to the state of New Jersey. Worked 9-hour days 3 days a week using Citrix and Twilio.

United States Census Bureau: 9/2020-11/2020

Enumerator, State of Tennessee, Various Locations

Used automated devices to obtain and input 2020 Census questionnaire data. Followed stringent guidelines and confidentiality laws. Maintained and submitted records of hours worked, miles driven, and expenses incurred in the performance of duties. Passed federal government background check.

April 2017-May 2018 Constitution and Bylaws Committee Chairman

As Chairman it was my responsibility to inform and educate members of our unit of the Constitution & Bylaws that are the basis for governance of The ALA. Prepare, advise and update the Constitution and Bylaws according to the Roberts Rules of Order as necessary to the operation of our individual unit.

May 2015- April 2017 Unit 228 President

My duties as president were to preside over all meetings according to the Robert Rules of Order. Have a working knowledge of the National, State and Unit Constitution and Bylaws and see to it that these rules are followed. It was my job to have knowledge of the duties of all officers, elected and appointed. Delegate and oversee the completion of all year-end reports.

March 2012- April 2015 Membership Chairman

My duty as Chairman was to maintain a complete and updated list of all the members of our unit and to update records with state, collect membership dues and have membership drives. Issue membership materials and create yearly reports as well as attend monthly meetings with the unit and yearly meeting with the state.

March 2012 - April 2015 Unit 228 Secretary / Treasurer

Created and maintained list of all officers and committee members and a copy of the Unit Constitution and Bylaws and transmitted changes of the State as needed. Created agendas, took minutes. Assisted the President wherever necessary. In 2012 this position was combined from individual Secretary and Treasurer to one position. Until March of 2012 I was solely responsible for the Treasurer position.

March 2006-April 2012 Unit 228 Treasurer

Reconciled accounts with statements and invoices on monthly basis investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain records accuracy. File necessary documentation to retain our nonprofit status without interruption. Reorganized and computerized the accounting system. Simplified the treasurer's record-keeping system.

March 2004-April 2006 Chaplain

Before and after meeting prayers, Cards and visits to members of the unit. Keep track of conditions of members and notify unit of membership changes. Visit members in the hospital and see to their needs. Helped members with applications for assistance from national headquarters.

2005-2008. American Red Cross

Blood Drive Coordinator. As the blood drive coordinator, I performed all duties for scheduling and reception for all the blood drives. I was responsible for calling all of our donors every couple of months and providing all the necessary information to the American Red Cross so that we could have successful blood drives. 2007 were awarded a certificate and a glass trophy but the most improved blood drive in the state. While I was blood drive coordinator for Benton County, I was able to successfully handle the transition from the manual record keeping systems to the new computerized record keeping systems.

2004-2007. Angel Food Ministries

I along with one other lady started the Angel food ministries in Benton County. We contacted the Angel food office in Georgia to get the food drive started here in Benton County and it ran successfully for three years. Once surrounding counties saw what we had done here they signed up too. We now have Second Harvest.

In Closing: Before 2004 I spent 20 years as a truck driver. Ten of those years I was an owner operator with 2 trucks. I had my own business in construction and remodeling. When certain laws were changed in 2020 for employment, I couldn’t wait to go back to work. I can do anything and what I don’t know, I can easily learn. For all else, You Tube.
