Mechanical/ Body Team Leader- Accident Repair

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnosis of accidental vehicles (both heavy & light vehicles) and assist Service Technician to provide accurate estimates and timelines for repairs

Monitoring workshop processes, inspecting Service Technicians, and providing guidance to identify mechanical and electrical/electronic failures in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and tools such as an OBD II scanner

Schedule service appointments and ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet customer demands

Update customers throughout the service process and ensure their satisfaction

Identify opportunities to promote additional services and accessories that enhance customers’ vehicle ownership experience

Provide knowledgeable advice and recommendations on service packages, extended warranties, and vehicle upgrades, with the goal of increasing sales and revenue

Ensure all necessary documentation, including work orders, invoices and claims, is complete both accurately and promptly

Liaise with insurance companies and complete the service process on time

Provide advice on maintaining their vehicles according to the manufacturer’s guidelines

Perform final inspection of restored vehicles and handover to customer

Responsibilities:

Perform road tests and inspections on ramp to accurately diagnose errors in vehicle

systems and components

Thoroughly analyze vehicle systems using diagnostic equipment such as OBD-2

scanner to identify potential root causes of mechanical, electronic and electrical

errors

Conduct removal and dismantling of engines, drivetrain modules, steering systems

and other accessories to access worn/ defective parts, and analyze the parts deeply to

determine the best-fit solution (replacement or repair should be carried out); follow

up General Automotive principles, standards and guidelines, and utilizing the correct

tools to meet the manufacturer’s quality standards requirements

Perform routine maintenance activities such as oil replacement, lubrication, fuel

management system restoration, brake system checkup and engine tune-up to

enhance vehicle performance, identify potential faults in vehicles before they escalate

into potentially expensive issues, while ensuring compliance with environmental and

safety standards

Overhaul engines and other units; adhering to General Automotive principles,

standards and guidelines, utilizing appropriate tools and spare parts for repairs

Conduct inspections after repairs to ensure intended performance; analyze using

scanners/ equipment (OBD-2 scanners, brake tester, battery tester, brake fluid tester)

and carry out adjustments of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems to

optimize performance

Carry out reconditioning of vehicle operating management software and update the

vehicle’s onboard systems to enhance safety measures and automobile system

efficiency

Perform final inspections to confirm accurate functioning and safety standards of

automobiles after completing the job; carry out road tests and live system scanning

tests
