WORK EXPERIENCE

Structural & Welding Supervisor (Combo)

As shipfitter/welding Supervisor, I managed and provided oversight for mechanics, helpers and apprentices that accomplish structural repairs non-subsafe- subsafe work by working to technical work documents. (Deficiency reports, difinicency logs and re-entry controls).

I have experience performing work integration with contractors, procurement of supplies, services. performing research and negotiating procedures. I am responsible for getting my assigned work completed and certified with-in my allotted schedule and budget and to ensure the Navy receives a quality product. I work closely with Quality Assurance often initiating pre-inspection for completion of work prior to SAT inspection by ships force or MARMAC.

As a first line Supervisor, most of my duties are concerned with planning, estimating, scheduling, expediting the use of labor, machines and materials. These duties are performed to achieve production systems for fabrication, rebuilding, overhauling, refurbishing or repairing any type of Navy vessel. (Submarines to Air-Craft Carriers) Shipfitter and structural welder

First class steel worker. Installing bulkheads, T-Bar, I-beams, angle iron, and anything structural on Submarines and Air-craft Carriers. All materials were block tacked and locked in for production welding. I used stick and flux-core welding applications on a daily basis. I also used OXY-Acetylene for burning applications along with Plasma arc and Carbon arc rigs.

Accomplishments

I am known as a "ROLLER", hard driven individual and always a team player. As a Class "A" Shipfitter, Became an Engineering Tech for our structural Code. Self motivator and always put on all high profile jobs.

Maintained an ahead or on time work load per our schedule and budget allotted by the Navy!
