Agriculture Waste Derived Fuel ( A.W.D.F ) project Using
“MISCANTHUS” as energy crop to Bio-Diesel
(Biomass to Bio-energy Technology)
The aim of the project is the recovery of energy from agriculture waste through manufacture of Agriculture Waste Derived Fuel (AWDF) in order to convert agricultural waste into a high-energy fuel (Biofuel) that can be cost-effectively turned into electricity for use on site or exported to local markets.
This can be done by:
Selection of MISCANTHUS as a high calorific value waste, and estimation of available quantity produced in Egypt.
The estimation of different processing techniques for energy recovery, for example ;
Granulation then combustion
Size reduction then pyrolysis
