St Pete Mitsubishi, St Pete Florida 2023 to 2024

Opened a new point, new franchise and new location in St. Pete. The store did good and we got it to #2 in Market in 60 days and selling 60 used. Ground up is work,but rewarding. My contract is up 12/31/2023. The VP/Partner in the Group purchased a house here in St Pete and will be running the store--got it going good! I would like to find a permanent home. My youngest starts High School this fall so we need a long term position running a store for someone lucky enough to get me--I'm ready, Let's gooo! Recruited to run the companies and get positioned to move to a new location. I was to help with the expansion of 7-9 more Dealerships while running the existing stores. I improved the position of the Dealership and staffed both Dealerships. I was also Contracted to take on the equity issues and process issues with Variable and especially Used car equity. I also ran the Service Department for 1 month while the Service Manager was ill and trained the new Parts Manager at GM.

However, the plans changed with the expansion project that I was hired for. Funding issues and the growth strategy were eliminated, and the project was cancelled. Even the Dealership was closed and sold. So, I am available!

2020 to 2022

Running a big Ford Store with over 1 ml a month in Wholesale Parts sales, Two Body Shops, Service Department with Quick Lane, EV and Large Commercial Repair along with Commercial and Fleet Sales along with retail.

Union Shops and Drivers with but had no issues.

Sales and Finance selling 100-120 Used per month and 75-100 New (depending on availability) Repairing the Dealership reputation was also a huge project as the store went through 4 GM's in 3 years, Platform Manager, Managing Director, Executive

2019 to 2021

Recruited to take on 9 Dealerships.

During my tenure we acquired 3 Dealerships and opened, staffed, grew, and trained GSM's, fixed Managers, and best practice expectations.

6 Nissan,2 Infiniti, Stellantis(CDJR) Hyundai, KIA, Mazda, Buick GMC and 4 Harley Stores. Oversaw the Harley stores on the Platform level.

All the stores are profitable and averaging 3-6 % return on sales with an average net to gross at25%. Fixed absorptions in guide and continuously improving activities and results Building the Teams and their Culture of Customer experience and innovative forward thinking and community. Building a Team atmosphere to win and serve as a complete store with all departments. Everyone engaged with all activities and Customer care in mind. THOMPSON'S AUTO GROUP Toyota, CDJR and GMC - Placerville, CA 2016 to 2019

Responsible for all 3 Dealerships including every aspect of the Companies. Very successful group and Iwas recruited to lift the stores and results--- and did. Changed the momentum of everything to include Customer and employee satisfaction. Changed up the Used car processes and created a buy center that utilized KBB ICO and our own internal pull ahead program. Set up BDC for Sales and then Service that was measurable and trackable. Set up a new reinsurance company and policy along with mandating the systems and results from every employee and department. The owner Ron and Jeff Thompson respected and approved the move to run 9 stores for Wise Auto Group and the opportunities that were possible with a big group over a family-owned small group. Took over VW/Hyundai of Corona and got it going after the Irvine stores were sold. We made our mark and penetration and got after it. Signed up for World Parts and became a distributor. Very disciplined group and taught me the use of time, activities, and habits. I really enjoyed working for the group. Turned around the store especially in fixed and made some money and happy customers.

Fladeboe Automotive Group - Irvine, CA 2011 to 2014 Moved to California to run stores in Irvine Auto Mall after the founder died. I plugged in and changed business. Took the stores from nonperforming into some of the top stores in the Country.

Excelled in both the New Car market with 80% leasing. We were recognized for CPO sales. Honda and GM. We were in the Top 5 VW CPO stores in the country. Selling New Hondas was quite easy in Southern California along with Denali’s and VW Diesels! General Manager

I worked with Dan Diedrich at Shawnee Mission Ford from his arrival in February 2021 through his departure in October 2022. In my capacity as Ford’s Market Representation Manager for the Kansas City Region, it was my responsibility to evaluate and approve Dan as General Manager of Shawnee Mission. Our main criteria for approval include previous Ford or competitive OEM performance in sales, customer satisfaction and profitability. Our franchising team evaluated these metrics from Dan’s prior experience as Managing Director for Wise Auto Group in California and approved him for Shawnee Mission managerial authority based on his excellent record of performance. Prior to Dan’s arrival, Shawnee Mission Ford had not turned a profit in over a year. Within two months as General Manager, he implemented swift changes in personnel and processes which translated to positive operating profit every month thereafter. Dan increased sales volume as a percent of expected registrations in his market by 115 units over a 12-month period and his capacity in fixed operations enabled total service gross to improve 40% YOY and total parts gross 30% YOY. Quantitative improvement aside, Dan created meaningful culture change which positively impacted both employee morale and public perception of Shawnee Mission. It was apparent to me that he genuinely cares for the wellbeing of his team and the customers they serve. Based on my experience with Dan, I would regard him as a managerial asset for all dealership operations.

I met Dan in July 2019 when he was hired to replace a longtime member of the team at Wise Auto Group.

He quickly established a positive working relationship with myself and my colleague, who cover the six Nissan and two Infiniti dealerships for the Wise Auto Group. In addition in 2020, he played a key role in ensuring that the dealership group elevated its performance with regard to Vehicle Service Contract business. This despite the challenges of not just Covid 19, but also wildfires that threatened the dealership in Vacaville and the homes of several employees. It is a tribute to his hard work and determination that group continues to maintain the focus and drive on Vehicle Service Contract business after his departure.
