Member of Powerhouse Personnel in a rotating schedule format. Maintenance at this remote facility was almost identical in nature to Asarco Inc.’s mine and mill facility (see below). Worked directly with the State of Alaska and Federal Government personnel; due to the sensitive nature of the project located on a National Monument site. Solely responsible for monitoring water from protected sources.

Maintained all facilities for electrical integrity; Powerhouse Operating on designated shifts, surface and underground system experience include the following:

• Maintained all switchgear from 13,800 volts down to 120 volts,

• Electric gate openings for personnel and equipment,

• Mining cap-lamp charging system

• Maintained battery banks for all switchgear rooms

• Worked on all shop facilities from lighting to receptacles Maintained various overhead cranes (P&H Cranes rated for 5,15 and 45 tons) which included weekly PM duties to change out of crane pendants at operator stations

• Ran portable generators for different situations used above and below the surface, troubleshooting to include teardown and reconstruction of units.

Originally trained for the Special Forces Para-Rescue Team but later re- trained in the OJT Program for electricity after Presidential Decree to de-man US Armed Forces near the end of Vietnam. Obtained apprenticeship in the Electrical field and completed an ICS Course in conjunction with OJT. Maintained Nellis AFT facilities, relieved powerhouse operator and systems work on the following:

• Ran generators for base power

• Shops and airplane hangar facilities

• Electric fences at base entrances and exits
