EXPERIENCE

ZA Construction, Newcastle, CA — Lead Driver/Equipment Operator

July 2021 - Present Day

I am currently the lead driver as well as an equipment operator for ZA Construction. I have been employed with ZA for about 2 years now. Some of my responsibilities include training others how to operate vehicles such as low beds, 9 axles, 10 wheelers and even boom trucks. I also operate equipment. This includes excavators, dozers, loaders and skid loaders. All of the work we do is contracted through Union pacific. We do our regular contracted work for them such as railroad repairs. ZA Construction also works on civil emergencies. Some of these emergencies include train wrecks and fires.

Volcano Creek, Foresthill, CA — Heavy Haul Low Bed Driver February 2021 - July 2021

Before I began working for ZA, I was working for a company called Volcano Creek. While working for Volcano Creek, I was responsible for the transportation of heavy machinery. I drove the long beds with equipment down tight and narrow roads. Another responsibility of mine was being a log truck driver. Before I left for ZA, I had begun to start driving logging trucks.

Jim Dobbas, Newcastle, CA — Driver/Equipment Operator October 2015 - February 2021

During my time working for Jim Dobbas, I had several responsibilities. I drove as well as trained others on how to drive 10 wheelers, 9 axles, and how to properly operate a low bed. I operated skid steers, loaders and dozers. Some of the work we did was derailments.

After many years of working for Jim Dobbas, the company came to a close in February of 2021. I had found Volcano Creek, which was an entirely new environment for me, doing somewhat different work. I jumped right into it and began working and learning what was needed of me. I spent a short period of time with Volcano. ZA construction had moved into the work yard that Jim Dobbas had previously been in, doing the same work that Dobbas had been doing. I applied for the job and started shortly after. I enjoyed the responsibilities I had at Dobas and wanted to continue pursuing that. I have been at ZA construction since. SKILLS
