One of three superintendents to oversee the overall construction and daily operations of project site. Includes developing and maintaining schedules. Enforcing safety and quality. Responsibilities included overseeing skin envelope. (Punch windows, curtain wall, Neacera Terra Cotta cladding, and structural glass) Daily operations of concrete construction, includes all in-bed and sleeves for post tension slabs. DC Dream Center, National Community Church, Washington DC Developed and constructed with the project team a four story re-purposed building ($4 million) to include green roof, dance, recording, and art studio. Computer lab and basketball court. Utilize structural steel, precast plank construction, new masonry facade, new elevator and modify exciting foundation.

Ortho Virginia Orthopedic office and treatment practice phased construction maintaining uninterrupted customer service and treatments. Upgrade X-ray lab and new build MRI suite. Emerald Construction/Bell-Mejia Engineering and Construction Cox Communications, Fredericksburg, VA—Facilities Management Developed client relationship resulting in securing a contract for design build of STC site in Fredericksburg, VA. Established budgets and completion schedule. Responsible for the selection of the design team and submission of all require documents for county approval. Challenges included building construction without interruption to existing services. Scope included back-up power with diesel generators and a complete UPS battery back-up system and FM-200 fire protection system. Sound Hospitality, Crystal City, VA—Hotel Renovations Awarded contract for exterior renovation of Radisson Hotel. Contracted to complete a 240-room renovation for the Holiday Inn, Columbus, OH. Scope included new PTAC units and windows for all rooms. Complete exterior upgrade and painting of building. Constructed a new main lobby and management offices while insuring no service interruption to day-to-day hotel operations. Complete upgrade of restaurant and bar area to increase usage and versatility of space. Coordinated with client to establish a construction schedule that allowed for streamlining reservations for large bookings, conference and banquets during all phases of construction. Successful project completion was within budget and established deadlines while utilizing first time local subcontractors. SEEC, Silver Spring, MD—Design Build Office Renovations Selected for two floors of complete office renovation of 20,000 s.f. for a local non-profit organization. Scope included demolition, replacement of all wall framing, drywall and finishes without retaining the services of architect. Coordinated the relocation and return of all employees. Personally, designed the new layout for office cubicles, lighting, and aesthetic finishes to provide substantial cost savings to the client. Construction was completed within budget and deadlines without disturbance to other tenants and building services.

United Therapeutics, Silver Spring, MD—General Superintendent Contracted by Turner Construction Company as general superintendent to oversee completion of a

$32 million, 50,000 square foot, four-story research production facility complexes as part of downtown Silver Spring’s revitalization central business district (CBD) sector plan. Involved in all aspects of construction along with overseeing county inspections. GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT 1996—2004 Turner Construction Company, Washington, DC

Supervised daily construction operations on various contracts and market sectors. Responsible for subcontractor management. Developed and maintained construction schedule. Conducted progress meetings, billing, inspections and material procurement. Monitored safety, manpower progress and client relations on a daily basis. Jobs included $100 million parking garages at Dulles Airport. Responsible for overall supervision and completion of West Flank Parking Garage. Construction was concrete caissons, post tension cable system, precast exterior skin and a new electrical distribution system. Challenges included developing a functional traffic plan for public and airport operations. Project work occurred during the attacks on September 11, 2001 and was identified as the first project in Airport Authority history to be completed on time and on budget!
