Responsibilities

Read blueprints or drawings to calculate materials needed; lay out patterns, forms, or foundations according to plans; break or cut materials to required size; mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation; clean excess mortar with trowels and other hand tools; construct masonry walls. determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements; set up components for welding according to specifications; operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded; align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces; weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions; mark cutting lines on material; confirm that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and screwed in; ensure that quality control standards are met; maintain a production schedule; test products for their functionality; follow OSHA safety guidelines; performing minor fixes such as repairing broken equipment; remodeling rental properties; install and repair water, gas, and other piping systems
