I have been responsible for the design and implementation of a WEB based customer portal and the associated intranet CRM site.

I researched and improved the R1000 (Realtek) gigabit network interface card driver in 2.6 kernels.

Projects:
- Linux 2.4 device driver development
As a member of a team developing a Software RAID driver on Linux, I designed, coded, and tested the lower-layer of the driver.
- Linux kernel 2.4 RAW I/O performance improvement
I researched the high CPU usage in Linux 2.4 RAW I/O device data transfers and devised a solution to reduce it.
4) ApplianceWare Inc. (Fremont, California) August 1998 – December 2001
Title: Software Engineer.
Projects:
- Applianceware Network Attached Storage server
Applianceware is a Linux based Network Attached Storage server. I was responsible for Software and Hardware RAID subsystems integration in the server; I implemented UNICODE/UTF-8 support (Chinese, Japanese, etc), xfs, Disk Quotas, tape back-up subsystem.
- JukeFS - caching file system prototype for CD-ROM juke boxes
JukeFS is a NFS based cache file system used for slow accesses to CD-ROM jukeboxes. I was responsible for modifying the nfsd daemon and implemented the cache management functions.
- Realm Universal Server - RUS
Realm Universal Server is a thin network attached storage server build on the top of Red Hat Linux distribution. I coded and tested the subsystems used to manipulate the configuration files: users and groups, fstab and mtab, Novell nwserv, sendmail, DNS/BIND.
5) Edison Ltd. (Constantza, Romania) July 1992 - June 1998
Title: ClipperDB/C/C++/ASM86 Programmer.
Projects:
- TestCon - Knowledge Evaluation Software for Civil Engineers
I developed the whole application in ClipperDB. The application automates the process of composing the tests, the evaluation of the test results, and printing final reports and statistics.
- Antico - Anticolision Radar Simulator for Students Training
I designed, coded, and tested the network communication subsystem of the simulator using C/C++/ASM over Novell IPX.
