Job Responsibilities:-
Assisting in the various fabrication activities carried out by gangs.
Ensuring the scope of work is achieved in accordance with the project standard specification and within the specific time frame.
Daily participation of the production meeting in order to establish the priority works.
Review and study the isometric piping drawings received from planning department and distributing to foreman with proper control number.
Ensuring proper material identification, dimension, verifying proper size and schedule of pipe & fitting, rating and categories and faces of flange and OLET as per Material Take off List and Updated Isometric Drawings approved for construction.
Checking the dimensional accuracy &edge preparation before Fit up Inspection and providing necessary corrective feedback to performer if observing any project standard violation.
Maintaining daily wise fit up and welding progress report log book in company standard format D.P.R.
Resource allocating and controlling as per job priorities and sequence.
Coordinating the client during Client daily surveillance to check the work in progress.
Maintaining over all housekeeping and conducting daily tool box meeting before start of the work and explaining them to execute the task with safety and quality.
Review/checking the flexibility of the spools for transportation, site installation and operational point of view.
Strict adherence to safety requirements and norms.
Follow and Practice the international Codes ASME, ASTM and ANSI along with Project standard specifications.
Review the Material Issuance slip raised by subcontractor and checking with respect to drawing material take off, service, work priority, quantity and stock availability.
Preparing the monthly progress reports in terms of inch diameter, inch meter and metric ton for fabrication and erection works respectively and submitting to planning department.
Surveillance the spools storage yard to confirm the spools are segregated in accepted condition without any damage and corrosion etc.
Follow and practice of company safety standards and norms and conducting safety tool box meeting on daily basis and providing safety awareness and job complications to workers.
Stage wise supervision of piping spools its associated and non-associated supports.
Site surveillance to check the construction works and give proper comments if necessary according to project standard methodology.
Review and distributing the updated isometric drawing issued for construction and transmitting to assigned crew as per respective working area and scope.
Review and checking the complete plan to be installed to be able to perform the easiest way to perform the field fabrication and erection with safety and no damage of piping & fittings.
Checking the Fit up, site as built& modifications, routing, alignment, supports categories and location, vent and drain points, valve approachable position and expansion loops location and pipe lying on rack and unit piping along with underground piping works.
Preliminary welding inspection activities (Fit up, root, intermediate and hot pass material trace ability, dimensional checking and orientation checking of piping and its fittings
Explaining the nature and area of work to client work order permit
