• Analyzed loans flagged as risky through an in-depth audit process: audits were either focused on a component aspect alone (such as assets), or the whole loan entirely, considering business strategy, sponsor/borrower analysis, paper trail audit, and third-party risk evaluation.
• Prevented $3-5MM on average per month in business that was too risky, revenue loss in default or bad (“un-sellable”) loans that went against guidelines or had fraud or deceptive activity associated with it.
• Solely Managed an “escalation desk” of reported activity that seemed suspicious for an entire pipeline of almost 500 people (company-wide) at the peak of staffing
(this was maintained until lay-offs in February 2023).
• Created and Managed the UAR (Unusual Activity Report) System that worked in conjunction with Compliance on reporting issues dealing with proven fraud caught on audits.
• Created and managed the auditing process for the component and full analysis of all loans requiring an audit prior to the funding of the loan (a full audit was essentially going through every aspect of an underwritten file after being underwritten and calling out all risk).
• Managed all third-part risk-verification vendors and documentation including BankVOD and Confirmation.com.

• Responsible for the underwriting of pipeline of in between 30-40 loans per month on average.
• Each loan was typically from $100,000 - $3,000,000 in scope equating to about $5-10M in loans underwritten and funded each month (average loan size/scope equal to $300,000 at about 80% decisioned to funding).
• Responsible for all aspects of the underwriting (un-siloed) and analysis of underwriting documents including title, assets, purchase contracts, entity documentation, state filings, deed recordings, third-party risk reporting, credit reports, legal items, tax and insurance documentation, appraisals, and construction/rehab documentation.
