Chief Building Official, City of Centerville, Utah Under administrative direction, directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of the Building Inspection Division within the Planning Building, and Environmental Services Department, including building inspection and enforcement of state laws, codes, and local ordinances dealing with the construction of new buildings and the alteration, use, and ongoing safety of existing buildings; coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Planning, Building, and Environmental Services. 1999-2006

Building Official, Sunrise Engineering/Draper Utah I have had the responsibility of being the Chief Building Official, Plans Examiner, Public Works Inspection Supervisor and Sub-Consultant Manager for Special Inspections while under contract for the cities of Herriman, Utah, Taylorsville, Utah, Susanville, California, and State of Utah DFCM Division. While working for Sunrise Engineering I was the Building Official for the City of Centerville Utah and manage the Special Inspection firms utilized as sub-consultants for the various State of Utah jobs. I was the first Building Official for the City of Herriman, and the City of Taylorsville upon their incorporations. I performed most of the plan reviews, issued the building permits, hired inspection personnel as needed and supervised the personnel. I reported regularly to the Mayor’s of both Cities and the respective City Council’s on all activities. I helped create the current computer data base program still under use by both City’s. My job has also required of me to interact with the Planning/Zoning Department personnel and with the City Engineers.
