SUMMARY:

I have more than 20 years of technical and analytical experience along with about 18 years managing technical staff. My core duties include application development, project management, data warehousing, data management, logical and physical data modeling, database design (including performance analysis and tuning), analytics and managing the use of 3rd party tools. Since many of our applications involve research and financial related processes, I also represented the Jacobs School of Engineering and the Altman Clinical Center on a number of corresponding committees. I also collaborated with the EVC’s office to build applications used across Academic Affairs as well as building API’s which allows some of our applications to communicate and update other applications as needed, thus minimizing our user base from having to utilize multiple apps to accomplish the same tasks.

•Manage application development, database support and analytics for the Jacobs School of Engineering and various divisions across campus. This includes gathering requirements, designing, building, testing and deploying Java, PHP, ColdFusion and Perl based solutions on Linux platforms using the Kanban project management methodology. All applications support functional areas including fiscal / research, student affairs, human resources and academic personnel.

•Responsible for leading and managing a team of 12 developers (including offshore personnel) that developed and supported web based applications, BI reports and an Oracle data warehouse.
