12 County Regional Economic Development Group who won a $15 Million Workforce Innovation Grant- one of original 13 DOL WIRED Grantees in the Nation. Received many accolades locally and across the nation for the scope of the work and the lasting impact it will have on the region’s Workforce skills development and career readiness training and Educational Infrastructure.

Director of WORKFORCE Development, August 2008- June 30, 2010

Chosen out of 90 applicants, to serve as a regional Director of Workforce Development, a liaison link, of the Workforce Boards and the WIRED Initiative; to help build and strengthen regional collaborations across Educational Institutions, local Businesses, Government and Community Agencies and Workforce Development Boards, for strategic change; to incorporate skills development of the current and upcoming Workforce into future programs/curriculum.

Key Results:

As an outsider to Workforce system, identified gaps in outreach to Youth, 16 – 24 years of age and designed a Virtual Success Academy prototype utilizing social media platform to demonstrate a strategic way to bridge the gaps to a critical underutilized and under-prepared workforce.

Locally led the ISO Training Initiative with QA and Mfg. Operations, bringing newly consolidated operation into compliance with Corporate ISO 9001 standards; re-certification was awarded during this time.
