June 2023 – September 2023

Program Systems Analyst, Embedded Client

TPG Interactive is a company that has developed a software application that analyzes websites

for Accessibility conformance. The reports that are generated informs the development staff

where in the code any modifications should be made. This software is available through their

website, but a “standalone” instance was being developed for use in a closed network situation. I

Miklos Systems, Inc., 10300 Eaton Place, Suite 300, Fairfax, VA July 2015 to June 2023

Customer Support

After several years as a member of an Enterprise Application Team, took on the roles and responsibilities of Customer Support to aide a user base of 35,000 registered users with assistance for how they may use the tool in the most efficient way possible. Users would contact the team either by phone, email or an internal online chat window to receive guidance on the “how-to’s” of the application. Was normally the first line of support between the user and the rest of the team. Received numerous kudos from the users, and their management, for the timely and effective response they received.

Aware of the Accessibility protocols that the customer has mandated. Started to become familiar with how to perform Accessibility Testing to make the application useable by all people regardless of their restrictions. Pending multiple training courses on how to use the tools that those with disabilities use in order to perform accurate testing of the application. Will be performing Accessibility Testing Scoring, quarterly, to ensure the application may be used by all users.

Enterprise Application Tester

After becoming acquainted with multiple Enterprise Application, perform testing duties to ensure that changes being made to the application meet the needs of the customer. Attend requirements type meetings to gather what it is the customer requires and ensure that it is conveyed to the programming staff so the changes may be made in a timely manner. Using JIRA, perform testing duties recommended by the programmers and to also perform regression testing to ensure the changes do not have any adverse problems. Assist with the deployment of upgrades to the application on a periodic (Agile Type) basis.

Miklos Systems, Inc., 10300 Eaton Place, Suite 300, Fairfax, VA, October 2009 to November 2013

Systems Integrator

Performed and implemented requirements gathering related to the Open Internet program. Assisted with the development of the workflow processes for obtaining an Open Internet account that is used to gain access to another Government Agency’s Intranet. This effort required the analysis of security protocols for inclusion in the process. Created and used workflow diagrams for numerous meetings with senior staff for a visual explanation of how the process would be performed. Took meeting minutes and distributed to attendees so all parties involved understood the tasks involved. Identified, tracked, and assigned Action Items to the attendees for their responsible areas. The end result was a streamlined process that would allow our internal officers the capability of receiving the Open Internet account to the Other Government Agency’s (OGA) Intranet in a timely manner. Designed the Account Request Form and Acknowledgment Form for the officer to complete when making their request. Developed a PowerPoint presentation, for training purposes, to show all the steps in the process of acquiring the account and the rules for accessing the OGA’s Intranet. Since the OGA could only create 50 accounts per week, some load-level scheduling needed to be used resulting in the ability to acquire the account within a week. Over 1,000 accounts were processed and created using this functionality within the first year.

Performed testing duties to ensure the software packages met customer requirements and expectations. Attended meetings with the end users to ensure what the programming staff was about to deliver was what the users wanted to see/use. The team used a Problem Tracking System, for which my responsibilities were to outline the requirement for the programmer to follow, assist other testing staff to ensure correct functionality, and ultimately work with the end users during the “User Acceptance Testing” phase.

Served as Project Integrator for internal corporate effort reporting to Chief Operating Officer and CEO. In this role, managed project schedules and monitored status of team deliverables. Developed and implemented the workflow process to ensure corporate visibility and team participation resulting in successful on time and on budget deliveries.

Lockheed Martin, 700 N Frederick Ave, Gaithersburg, MD, August 2004 to October 2009

System Integrator/Senior Test Engineer

After clearing in October 2005, joined a team on a 6 month effort to create an instance of the Maximo COTS Platform that was used at a much higher level than the office needed. They didn’t need all of the “bells and whistles” that the Maximo Platform provided. In a secure environment for a government client, performed customer interviews to include gathering and documenting application requirements, which were then used by development staff to verify that all specifications were met. Created a User’s Manual for the newly implemented application and provided training on its functionality. Provided support to the end user as required. Employed Enterprise Project Management Framework methodologies. Using Remedy (SRS) System, received, escalated, tasked and maintained customer requirements from cradle to grave. Followed developed procedures to process requests as received to where to escalate the requirement.

Provided Project Management support as needed to support the daily operations and communications requirements of the project. Led a team of analysts that reviewed charging discrepancies by other employees in the awaiting clearance status. Strict rules were established, documented and conveyed to offenders.

Keane Federal Systems, 1410 Springhill Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA, April 1994 to January 2003

Project Manager/Senior Analyst

As Project Manager, worked with the Secretariat Office of the Justice Management Division of the Department of Justice on a document management archival solution. Supervising a staff of two, we evaluated the existing Records Management System, researched COTS vendors, and provided in report format our recommendation for three Archival System solutions. Project was completed on schedule and within budget. In a $161,000 project for Arlington Cemetery, managed a team of six data verification operators where Records of Interment (ROI) were scanned, digitized, and processed through OCR for Forms COTS software. Monitored productivity rates, and cost and record count projections during the entire project for the processing of over 160,000 documents. The project was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule within budget.

As a Documentation Specialist for the Department of Labor’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer, coordinated documentation resources for their Financial Management application “DOLAR$”. Conferred with Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the documentation being produced was accurate and concise. Reported directly to the Division Chief for assignments. Performed Project Administration duties for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) Year 2000 effort. Responsible for maintaining project value tracking, using a rather complex MS-Excel spreadsheet, for seven major tasks (one of which had 50 sub-tasks) within the project. Administered communications between offices, processed expense reports and provided the Project Manager with the necessary information for monthly project reviews. Maintained project value tracking for the Goldman-Sach’s Year 2000 project. Also responsible for the formatting of reports and test plans that were provided to the Project Manager and staff located at the New York branch of Keane.

As a Systems Analyst, reviewed application code for an FDIC project. Utilizing a tool, which evaluated CA-IDEAL language application code, was able to successfully scrutinize lines of code for Year 2000 compliance. Generated reports based on findings and delivered them to the FDIC for corrective action. Performed research, using the World Wide Web, to find Year 2000 compliance versions of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) software that existed on Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) equipment. Generated and distributed a report to the client for cross-referencing with the installed version and highlighted COTS packages that were not Year 2000 ready.

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) had a need for scanning and storing several thousand binders’ worth of information, which required the scanning and indexing of the hard copy documents. Used ImageFast COTS software to accomplish this large task and used OptiScan Optical storage media jukebox for storage. Once scanned and indexed into the system, the hard copy documents were destroyed and the system was set up for universal retrieval. In support of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, assisted in setting up a multi-user LAN system for the Imaging Department for a project that was used to centrally locate all interment records for all National Cemeteries owned by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Became familiar with the COTS software packages OCR for Forms and Papergate. Maintain verification record throughput and balancing.
