Deluxe Corporation: Augmented and migrated the Deluxe ImageRPS™ (Remittance Processing System) from OpenEdge 11.2 to 12.7 including moving from AppServer to PASOE with Eclipse. My efforts in re-engineering the legacy technical debt to increase performance qualified Deluxe to receive a 2019& 2020U.S. Research and Development Tax Credit of $1.25M.

InfoSys McCamish: Migrated VPAS® Life from OpenEdge 10.2b to 11.7.2 including Roundtable, Fathom and Eclipse. Re-designed VPAS, a client-server application to administer variable universal life insurance, fixed or term insurance and related products, to allow more flexibility to configure multiple base plans under a single product.

York Risk Services: Tailored York’s Claims Expert Application (YCE) to enhance claims-handling, specialized loss adjusting, managed care, pool administration, loss control, and other risk management and insurance services.

Banco Santander: Customized Fiserv’s UniFi PRO Mortgage Loan Origination software to satisfy business requirements using Progress OpenEdge 10.2b. Responsible for understanding client's requirements, processes, and methodologies while working within a complex integrated systems environment.

JP Morgan Chase & Co.: Troubleshot and maintained an OpenEdge Mortgage Processing EXpress(MPX) loan application purchased by Chase from Quicken. Worked within large teams to define enhancements while also activley triaging MPX defects. Authored new Dodd-Frank High Cost Test compliance funtionality to certify MPX.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems: Spent two years augmenting and maintaining a Progress / WebSpeed / SonicMQ Thin-Client Government Travel Management Application used exclusively by the Federal Departments of Defense, State, Energy, Treasury, HHS and the Social Security Administration.

Deluxe Corporation is a trusted, technology-enabled solutions provider for enterprises, small businesses and financial institutions offering a range of solutions to help customers manage and grow their businesses.

Senior Software Engineer

Responsible for the successful implementation of ImageRPS Remittance Processing System projects as assigned within an Agile/Scrum Team. Worked under the direction of the Project Manager to configure, test and deliver OpenEdge solutions in accordance with the project plan and Customer Requirements Documents (CRD). Prepared whitepapers and ABL code development status reports for project managers, clients, and as required, internal management.

Implemented up to five small projects (each 100 hours or less) simultaneously. Worked with the project team to prepare ImageRPS system by customizing base software application and importing customer-specific data according to the CRD and exculpatory project documentation. Confirmed solution operation by conducting tests, modifying custom setup, and monitoring output.

Validated estimates and provided project management updates regarding activity durations and effort on an ongoing basis. Tested systems prior to delivery and during implementation at the client site to ensure a quality product while migrating from OpenEdge version 10.2b to OE 12.7 with PASOE.

InfoSys McCamish LLC – Atlanta, GA 2018 to 2019

Senior Technical Lead

Actively augmented and re-designed core VPAS Life functionality, a client-server software application which is a scalable policy administration platform offered in SaaS, BPO, BPO Hybrid, and License modes. Over 20 of the leading insurers in the US use VPAS Life to administer variable universal life insurance, fixed-premium or term insurance, and related products for the Corporate-Owned Life Insurance (COLI), and individual insurance markets.

Reviewed, analyzed and modified Infosys’s VPAS Life, including coding, testing and the debugging of the software two major components: the online transaction processing system and the offline (batch) processing system.

Worked with a team of six developers to repurpose VPAS Life core functionality to allow more flexibility for administrators to configure multiple base plans under a single product. Worked with architects, network engineers and database administrators to upgrade 220 developers from OpenEdge version 10.2b to 11.7.2.

Designed VPAS Life for rapid product introductions, robust distribution channel support and flexible, end-to-end servicing of open and closed blocks of life, annuity, disability and health protection products.

York Risk Services – Parsippany, NJ 2014 to 2018

York Risk Services Group, Inc. is a premier provider of claims-handling, specialized loss adjusting, managed care, pool administration, loss control, and other risk management and insurance services.

Systems Analyst

Used Agile Scrum methodology to develop, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade new and existing functionality of York’s home-grown Workman’s Compensation and Liability Claims Processing application. Spearheaded conversion of ICD-9-CM Codes to ICD-10-CM/PCS codes. Acted as liaison with all levels of management to develop and program base CE product enhancements.

Worked from specifications to program changes and enhancements in a busy Progress OE and WebSpeed development shop. Redesigned, rewrote and debugged existing code as needed to improve performance, increase reliability and reduce risk.

Mortgage Banking Technology Originations Team Lead

Implemented an OpenEdge Mortgage Processing EXpress (MPX) loan application purchased by Manhatten Chase from Quicken Loans. The project's goal was the migration of JPMC's existing Loan Origination System (CLOSR), to a new purchased system (MPX), to increase both loan efficiency and productivity and to expedite loan closing time significantly, as well as to increase loan salability. Full replacement of the CLOSR system was implemented in multiple phases, with two major core Progress applications, Mortgage Application Express (MAX) and Mortgage Processing Express (MPX) deployed and customized to be Dodd-frank Compliant.

Understood and applied reusable code design techniques to leverage application architecture/framework capabilities and functionality, designed/developed solutions that were highly reliable, scalable, and performed to meet business-defined service levels.

Worked with Product owners to help shape the direction of the MPX product based on a combined knowledge of what's technically feasible and what is desired by the end user.

Contributed to the technical code and MPX design documentation. Conducted MPX peer code reviews and ensuring quality solutions are built and tested. Identified and implement Dodd-Frank improvements to products and provided production support and issue triage for MPX.

Prepared Business Requirements Documents and converted to Functional Requirements Specifications.
