I worked in rural schools helping maintain free counseling services. I worked in 2 school districts and helped coordinate services for children grades K-12, as well as teachers, staff and parents.

I worked with the Medicaid long term care waiver. I had 64 clients on my case load. I helped people be able to stay in their homes instead going to a nursing home. I helped get them signed up with services on the waiver, which included, easy to make meals or senior center meals, life lines, personal care by senior centers rides, nursing services. I did all paper work to sign up for providers and would submit it to be signed by the provers, then I would do modifications to add it to the plan, make sure the documentation was downloaded and change services providers and change the numbers to reflect the correct change. I would switch services to another service, and I monitored to make sure all services were to their desired specifications. I traveled to Lovell, Byron, Basin, Greybull, Burlington, Powell and saw people in Cody. I saw them in their homes once a month until April, 2020. After that we could began calling clients on the phone, while COVID restrictions were in place, after that we could call or go in person for appointments. I would monitor depression and physical conditions. I was a mandatory reporter and would monitor personal safety, monitor living conditions and monitor abuse both physical and mental. I monitored neglect and whether they were being taken advantage of financially. I worked closely with Adult Protective Services. I had documentation I competed monthly. I would download all documentation on the website and our internal notes system.

I was in charge of all the employees in the various shifts I worked. I would make sure other staff were working in the areas that they were supposed to be in, I would make sure everyone who was working followed all health codes and dress codes. I would work making sandwiches or scooping ice cream. I would make sure all the items that need filling were done so, such as ice creams, cones, bowls, spoons, sandwiches, chips and salads. I oversaw the money and credit cards for my shifts. I would get change and balance out after my shift, which included making sure cash, and credit cards matched all the transactions. I would make sure all the dishes were done, the counters were cleaned, and the floors were mopped.

I taught computer skills to students at Eastside Elementary. I taught Kindergarten through Fifth grade and saw 360 students each week. I taught basic mouse skills, typing, proper computer communication using email, word, and excel. I taught safety practices involving internet and social media. I worked various shifts at the group home. Depending on the shift I worked is the amount of interaction I had with the clients. When I worked overnight I saw the clients in the mornings and dispensed medications and talked to them about their plans for the day. When I worked day shifts I spent more face-to-face time with the clients. I worked with clients helping them relearn daily living skills. I drove clients to appointments. I spent time with clients either during their down time, running errands, or doing recreation activities.

I worked day shifts at the residential treatment facility and was on call one week once every four weeks. When on call, I answered questions or went to the facility to work out any issues. I taught 5 therapy groups during the week. Therapy groups included 12 step group, Corrective Thinking group, Communication Group, DBT group and Anger Management group. I conducted assessments with new clients which includes a CIWA, ASI, ASAM, psychosocial, nutritional, medical, suicide, and mental health assessments. I created a treatment plan with each client and guided them in completing their treatment goals. I performed case management and saw every inpatient and outpatient client working with YRC. I would teach them how to budget, would help with income taxes, I took people to get housing and job applications and then I would help them fill them out as well, I would help file for Medicaid and Medicare, I took clients to medical and dental appointments, and I took clients to any personal errands as needed. I wrote letters and communicated verbally with judges, lawyers, and probation officers as needed for the clients. I wrote discharge summaries once the clients are discharged or moved to a lower level of care. I wrote daily notes for each client I taught in group sessions, worked on case management or saw individual in counseling sessions. I have worked with DFS with minor clients, I spoke to the judges and their DFS caseworkers on behalf of the clients. I also attended monthly meetings at DFS for these clients.

Served as co-vice-president for two years and co-president for two years at the Parent/Teacher Organization at Eastside School. I helped organize monthly events at the school and was in charge of the school carnival every year. The school carnival is the PTK major fundraiser held annually and I coordinated and ran this event four years in a row. I recruited and coordinated volunteers, helped organize events, and helped ensure everything ran within the budgeted amount. I have coached t-ball, girls’ softball, soccer, and basketball.
