Serving as CEO for the last 13 years for businesses I founded has taught me to lead smarter not harder and to be candid, it’s both. Empowering others replaces an “I can do it, and I can do it all” attitude, more profoundly, it replaces, “if it’s going to be done right, then I…” -mentality. In order to scale, you must rely on and support others, therefore the ability to empower, trust and support other’s success is the definition of a successful leader, in my humble opinion, - high tides do in fact raise all boats.

Jack Herer Brands -Created a RoadMap for the development of a house of brands designed to always be fresh, relevant, and high quality.
Hempy’s apparel -Strategic growth with high visibility & specifically at DIA. Successfully negotiated 2 kiosks. 72M passengers per year exposed to the brand. An increase in sales of 1K/per day.

January 2018 to June 2021
Developed, manufactured, and sold CBD infused products in Europe, specifically German & the UK. As the experts from “out of town” we anticipated the regulatory hurdles to establish the largest distribution of CBD products in Germany. We were the fastest adopted & selling product of our largest retailer, DM. Our product stocked in 2100 retail locations within 1 year. A Nationwide Novel Food Debate resulted in all CBD products removed from retail shelves and the wrap up of Collective Hemp.

Organa Labs, OpenVape - Denver, CO
March 2010 to January 2018
We created what is the longest running organically extracted Co2 MIP (marijuana infused products manufacturer) licensed in the world.
We created safe & healthier products for consumption & distributed in licensed retail centers. We expanded quickly with licenses for our processes & brands to 10 other states, then Jamaica & Canada. All locations built with brick & mortar state of the art labs with LGC / GC testing equipment, wiped film evaporation & Co2 extraction. Phd’s, SOPs, ERP and CRM systems help us define ourselves as leaders in an emerging market. We created, produced and distributed some of the best selling brands of cannabis in the US. The effort was taken public in Canada January of 2019 with a market cap of 480MM.

I worked as an assistant trauma representative for Smith & Nephew supporting the sale & proper application of trauma products in Lake Tahoe & Reno NV, where I attended college. I was recruited by Stryker formally Howmedica-Osteonics, & was the manufacturer’s representative for San Francisco & the East Bay area. I specialized in revision knee, hip & shoulder arthroplasty. My favorite aspect of the job was working with a team to help insure the best possible outcome. It was high stress, thrilling and worthwhile work.
