I have done site acquisition work which includes property leasing, Solar and Wind projects, municipal ROW permitting, site development and private property easement services for several types of power generation as well as transmission and pipelines. Performed various types of title research as needed. Obtained Conditional Use & Special Use Variance Permitting. Negotiated Legal & Financial terms for Municipal agreements. Performed strategic Site Acquisition and Development services for new macro pole placements, as well as macro pole attachment various types of real estate sites. Consulted on the approval of obtaining CLEC agreements for various REITs. Conducted due diligence and provided recommendations on market repositioning as needed to meet the sales and profitability goals of numerous development projects. Oversaw transmission R.O.W acquisition along with ancillary facilities, transformer stations and storage facilities. Worked with SGR Site Associates, a group of attorneys in Cleveland in leasing land, in which ultimately the options were sold to Duke Energy. I have worked on renewable energy projects with various companies (NextEra, Engie, DTE, Triple Oaks Power, and Orsted) over the past 10 years.
MarkWest Energy Partners, L.P- Subcontractor for Percheron Acquisitions: Senior right of way agent -oversee routing teams with technical advisement. Provided title research, land analysis for pipeline constructability, delineated wetlands, and environmental concerns, interfaced with existing land agents and property owners, staking and GPS location of route coordinates, plotting of pipeline route mapping. Administrated the transitions from routing teams into surveying division’s control.
MarkWest Energy Partners, L.P- Subcontractor for Atwell-Hicks: Right of way land agent on midstream pipeline project. Duties included completing easement documents packages, survey permission, negotiated lease payment and terms, evaluate, and negotiate property damage compensation, assisted routing and environmental teams, assisted with zoning and road crossing permitting and other misc. duties.
EQT Corporation: Land agent on exploration and pipeline projects. Duties included land analysis, title review, lease analysis, land use analysis, permitting issue examination, modification and amendment analysis and title curative work, leasing open parcels for unitization. Consult on pipeline GIS layout, planning, and rights acquisition (ROW easements).
Electrify America: Site acquisitions of EV charging stations throughout the Midwest and Southwest states for the initial launch of a national project: Electrify America,
( https://www.electrifyamerica.com/ ). I worked in conjunction with the engineering design team as well as the sales team that eventually did nationwide deals with numerous national retailers. I personally found smaller “mom and pop” locations in remote areas where national retailers were not present.
ExteNet Strategic S.A. / A&E Vendor - Various Metro Areas Throughout the US: DAS & Small Cell municipal permitting and private property easement services on various Het Net systems. Duties included site walks, assisting RF to determine node locations, negotiate easements with private property owners, zoning applications, attend planning and zoning hearings, permit application preparations, permit submittals, assist with obtaining municipal franchise agreements, assist with obtaining utility attachment licensing and other misc. duties. Oversight of in-house site and fiber engineering services.
