My background includes serving URS Corporation as a Project Director for 32-years in addition to President of a wholly owned subsidiary for 3-1/2 years. I am a proven and reliable Project Director and Manager with considerable background in electrical construction with me beginning my career in the electrical trade. I studied and became certified as an Electrical Contratractor in Florida in 1980 and held that certification for 29-years until I discontinued my license due to my not utilizing it. Insight Global, Inc Kalamazoo, MI (Pfizer Capital Project Manager) 10/2022 – Present

Project Manager responsible multiple projects in the Pfizer Kalamazoo facility – this required close coordination with production management and stakeholders that are identified for each project. Responsibilities include all aspects of projectmanagement: Safety, Design, Schedule, Budget, Cash Flow – the full life cycle of every project is the responsibility of the Project Manager. Projects included interface with medium voltage distribution systems that required connection to new installations.

The Austin Company Cleveland, Ohio, Cleveland 12/2020 – 08/2022

Project Manager responsible for tenant improvement of two projects involving cryogenics installations for the Bio Services industry. This included design and installation of medium voltage to low voltage substation installations and service connections tto the utility system.This required close interface with the client and utility service provider including schedule coordination of the clients “in house” special process systems and the construction activities required to provide support for their product.

Sr Electrical Estimator (Assign to Hensel Phelps) Performed Electrical Estimates for the Orlando International Airport New Terminal “C” expansion which included medium voltage ystems that provided multiple points of service in and around Terminal “C”. The role requied the active use of Bluebeam and Prolog. These activates included cost and time factoring impacts that had to be negotiated with the contractor.

KMI International, Orlando, FL 01/2019 - 03/2020

Sr. Project Manager, Marriott Hotel Renovation ~$200M, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands:

Management of a project that involved complete demolition and new renovation of a very large hotel complex because of two Cat 5 hurricanes that devastated the facility in 2017. The Owner also targeted critical equipment/infrastructure upgrades, this required extensive procedural processes validating the requirements and justifying the expenditures. Responsibilties included oversight of design and installation of medium voltage sytem interface with the facility electrical service. This involved planned budgets and scheduling, in addition to “in service” work performed in a manner that would afford the client the earliest possible opening. Unfortunately, the project/work was suspended on March 18,2020 due to the COVID-19 virus.

The Austin Company, Cleveland Ohio 02/2018-- 01/2019

Project Manager, Pharmaceutical Infrastructure Upgrades, Rochester, Michigan:

Management of 14 projects that targeted critical equipment/infrastructure upgrades, this required extensive procedural processes validating the requirements and justifying the expenditures for each project. This involved carefully planned shutdowns, in addition to “in service” work performed in a manner that did not interrupt production which included the electrical utility service upgrade with the power backup generating system. Due to the project location extensive free protection measures had to take into consideration due to freezing temperature in the winter.

Project Director, Kinoya Power Plant Expansion, Suva, Fiji:

Project management responsibility for the design/build of a heavy fuel oil power generating station expansion located in Suva, Fiji – the power plant is rated at 35 MW and was a heavy fuel oil power plant greenfield development. Responsible for managing the project from design through completion and turn-over. Ensured the work was completed in a safe and quality manner for the Fiji Electrical Auhtority.

Project Director, Caterpillar’s Learning Center, Panama: 11/2012 - 02/2014

Overall responsibility for the CM team providing consulting services on commercial building installations from planning and design phase through final project closeout. Oversight of budgets and project controls systems bid and award of subcontracts, procurement, prepare strategies for procurement and phasing, quality control. Managed installation of systems and transition to turn-over and occupancy.

Managed estimating, design, procurement, cost, and scheduling for design/build of military installations, including tracking current and historical cost performance and monthly forecasting completion costs. Responsible for the design of medium votage distribution systems.

Country Mgr./ President WGI Afghanistan 09/2009 - 02/2012

Tasked to coordinate and develop Afghan business execution strategy to win and successfully execute reconstruction contracts. Developed tools for tracking and managing proposal efforts, contract status, vetting of subcontractors, tracking new proposals, procurement efforts, etc. Provided support services for the Air Force and US Intelligence Agencies. This study included medium voltage distribution apllications and reporting requirements.

Project Director, US Gov. & US Navy, Arlington, VA 02/2007-08/2009

Managed a US. Navy project to complete technical data surveys for two US Navy Facility Engineering Commands (FECs) in the US. Extensive documentation and reporting were required for the coordination and compilation of electrical services data into a formal technical document to the client whereas efficienes of power consumption was critical. Managed the efforts to set up project reporting, including the project execution plan for an $800M multi-year program management contract for the U.S. Government.

Senior Project Mgr., Wyeth Pharm. Exp, Canada 11/2006 – 02//2007

Responsibilities included the procurement and construction activities required for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility expansion. Project required integration of a new expansion into the existing facility requiring planning efforts for the connection of a new facility into the existing medium voltage substation. Due to the extreme cold winter months extensive freeze protection installations were required for utility end major standby GeSet’s, etc. This project was located in Canada directly north of North Dakota therefore there was an extensive amount of freeze protection installations required.

Senior Project Mgr., Gorman Rupp Ind Ph 2, Mansfield, OH 07/2006 - 10/2006

Responsible for the design, procurement, and construction for a 450,000 square foot manufacturing complex. Established project mobilization, budget, and procurement of subcontract services; outlined permitting requirements to allow environmental applications through the U.S. Government, State of Ohio, USACE and the City of Mansfield to proceed. Due to very cold winter months freeze protection was utilized extensively. Extensive permitting process through the Army Corp of Engineers .

Senior Project Mgr., U.S. Dept. of Defense, Iraq/Kuwait 12/2003 - 07/2006 Responsible for design/build projects completed for the U.S. Military in Iraq and Kuwait under cost-reimbursable and firm-fixed-price contracts. Projects were of large-scale industrial types and were executed under difficult circumstances, these projects ranged from a high voltage transmission line to sweet water canal and pumping station refurbishment, medium voltage distribution systems including substations, dam repair and underground sanitary repairs. ●400kV 260-KM long high voltage transmission line repair, Baiji/Baghdad, start to finish fast track project directly managed to successful repair and energizing.

●Sadr City underground sanitary sewer repair, deep point repairs up to 6 to 8-meters deep, high pressure jetting of large diameter UG pipe.

Basra Sweet water canal repair, 220KM long with two lift stations, 8 cubic meters per second flow, deep excavations for embankment repair, complete rework of standby power, 1 cubic meter per second pump rebuild, etc.

●Adhaim Dam; assessment of existing remedial project repair, completed engineering study to determine stability and work required to complete the project.

●Diyala Governate medium voltage electrical distribution system including substations.

●Kuwait/Iraq Border Crossing Facility, design/build firm fixed price fast track managed from start to finish, on time and under budget. Extreme conditions in remote location.

Project Manager, LSP Organization, Bronx, NY 06/2003 - 12/2003

Managed subcontract work required to expedite construction at a health care facility, responsible for Change Management. Priced changes initiated by the owner or required completion due to field conditions, maintained close coordination with the owner, and conducted negotiations with the subcontractors.

Electrical Designer Field Eng., U.S. Dept. of Energy, Idaho Falls, ID 06/2002 – 06/2003

Assigned to a transuranic nuclear waste management facility at Idaho National Labs. Oversaw the installation of automated conveying and material handling systems that were integrated into a series of control areas for containment of radioactive material. Facilitated field engineering resolutions. Included the medium vltage service installation requirements.

Regional Operations, Lucent Technologies, Delco Electronics, Johnson Controls 1995 - 2002

Overall responsibility for design/build projects (for Lucent, Avaya, and Global Crossings) in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Mexico, Venezuela, and the US. Work involved design and construction of facilities for manufacturing, corporate offices, warehousing, etc. Elecrical power was an important aspect of these projects due to the exsiting infrastructure and the need for distribution of service into these facilties. Projects were executed under fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contracts. Responded to clients’ demands and expectations, ISO 9001 compliance requirements, reporting, etc.

Quality Control Engineer/Inspector, Sr QA/QC Inspector, QA/QC Manager; GM, Saturn Corporation, Exxon, Northville Corporation, General Motors 1981 – 1995

●Trans Panama Pipeline: Design/build petroleum pipeline project in Panama, constructed two pump stations including the tie-in to an existing petroleum off-loading/storage/loading facility. One 132kV to 4.16kV 30MVA substation required for a booster pump station installation that included 5,000 HP pumps. Additionally, had responsibility ofr 8-4.16 kV fuel oil 4mVA generators used to support the Pacific terminal pump station that had 5k-HP pumps. The pipeline was laid from the Pacific to the Carribean requiring construction activities in very remote areas across the Isthmus of Panama. Other significant features of work included 800k barrel storage tanks and seabed pipeline.

Trans-Panama Pipeline 1981 - 1983

●Cerrejon Coal Mine: Design/build direct hire and subcontract administration for turnkey facilities required to construct a port railroad and mines facilities to extract coal in Colombia South America. Responsible for all QA. Included a 132 kV transmission line and extensive medium voltage distribution system.

●Fairfax Automotive Plant: CM services for a 1M sf automotive manufacturing complex in Kansas City, added QC responsibilities for this project included review of subcontractor submittals for contract and design compliance. Responsible for all electrical/mechanical inspections in the Energy Conversion Building constructed on site to support the facility services (chilled water, electrical power including medium voltage substation responsibiltiy, compressed air, 3k-ton chillers, etc.)
