As a subsidiary company of a larger system Jugohemija ad, was in charge of: import, export, performing customs clearance, domestic wholesale and retail of drugs, medical agents, diagnostics and medical cosmetics.

Even though all corporative jobs were carried out by the roof company Jugohemija ad, such complex system and specific merchandise that Jugohemija-Farmacija used to sell, has required a team of business professionals who, within the dominantly commercial/pharmaceutical environment, were engaged in all activities de facto related to accounting.

Along with my regular duties, my specific tasks at this position were

-following the financial regulations that directly affect trade of remedies (regulations of drug prices, permissions from the Ministry of Health, drugs registration, attesting with Agency for drugs etc.)

- the calculation of possible discounts that are to be granted to customers (sales of remedies is very rigid due to the legislature that doesn't allow free forming of prices so the only way for participants to operate with a profit, is mutual approval of cassa-sconto in each transaction). -Following the adoption of VAT, my main duty was adapting our business practices to the new conditions.

Standard duties included preparing of periodic plans (sales, expenses and cash flow), analysis of the results and reporting to the management of the company.

My special contributions, are also:

-development of the applications and procedures for calculating and realization of cassa-sconto which is something that Jugohemija, as a predominantly representative oriented company didn't have earlier, and thus never developed any related protocols and regulations

- write-off of goods which have expired or was damaged for various reasons. As drugs are supposed to be destroyed by special procedures, it is my credit that Jugohemija-Farmacija created protocol that established order, both in terms of hygiene and health, as well as in the terms of company's liability in front of the tax authorities.

-Various forms of contractual relationships that provide alternative payment such as compensation, cession and assignment.

Prior to extracting of a subsidiary companies from the Jugohemija system, core businees was carried out in a single company divided in so-called. "Departments".

I was an officer in the Pharmacy At the beginning I found a confusing situation in terms of the elementary commercial rules such as: Unclassified databases, the lack of standards concerning the design of the commercial documents, lack of archiving important documents, all of that have brought us to the huge operational problems.

I took it upon myself to put in order and managed to do it within a year.

Later, I got help of ISO standardization which company underwent, so I also took part in that process involved writing a procedures in the field of my duties.

In October 2002, the Company carried out the transfer of their IT operations from outdated UNISYS system to a new application based on SQL Server in a Windows environment. During the month, commercial operative was forced to perform duties without any IT support, and my assignment was to design a procedure that would maintain the necessary quality and level of operations in such circumstances. In collaboration with a team of my colleagues, using my original creative solutions, we were able to achieve this goal. In the next period I was required to get everything done in this period, promptly entered into the appropriate databases and starts testing the new software afterwards. By the end of work in the system Jugohemija, I held position of a consultant and instructor for the training of new personnel for the JH soft, as it was the official name for this software.

My regular duties were getting contacts with local customers and suppliers, contacts with foreign partners and coordination of transport. I also took care about two consignment stock that the company held . It wasn't rare that I've performed the duties of transportation, courier jobs or else, whenever the lacking of manpower problem demanded it.
