Maintaining a clean environment for returning or new guests was our daily duty. Each day starts by stocking our carts with clean linen to be stocked in each room due to code. Providing new towels, as well as toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, for each bathroom. Followed by wiping out each sink, toilet, and bath tub. Depending if it was a stay or checkout depended on the sheets. For a stay we just made the bed, for a checkout we stripped all the linen and provided fresh for the new customers checking in. If we weren't cleaning rooms, I made sure my surroundings were cleaned as well. Including vacuuming the halls and wiping railings. Ensuring everything was cleaned and sanitized.

*Great Clips

3207 Forest Brook Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24501

December 2015- May 2019

Barber/Stylist

Continuing my many years of experience, Great Clips was a fast paced environment with stipulations to meet their criteria as a walk-in facility. Maintaining haircut times while providing exceptional customer service is a must. Giving suggestions for their hair type and what recommendations for cut and/or products is just the beginning. We also provided shampoos and styles; such as straightening, curls, and even up-dos for more formal occasions. Making sure each client knew we were available and walk-in ready, we provided online check in. this way they could access the wait time and check in to keep on with their busy schedule. Being at this location for almost 5 years, I had a well established customer base and was busy with my regular clientele, as well as walk-in customers when I was available. were military(active or retired), police, or just preferred that type of style. I gravitated towards developing these as requests due to my ability to easily provide this type of cut.

*Hargrave Military Academy

200 Military Dr, Chatham, VA 23531

December 2014-October 2015

Barber

Working with middle and high school boys in a military environment was definitely a fulfilling position. The cadets were on a strict schedule, so getting the boys in and out in a timely manner was a must. The military office was in control of their haircuts, so the typical high and tights or low fades were my options. These haircuts were an easy pick, because I enjoy the final look and the actual cut is easy for me. Listening and working with these young men was very eventful with entertaining conversations. With one barber and 300+ cadets, this was a busy place to be, but also had down time to squeeze in faculty members and other staff for their cuts as well.

*Sport Clips

4018 Wards Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502

May 2013-April 2014

Barber/ Receptionist/ Marketing Coordinator

Creating a Championship experience for men and boys was our goal here at Sport Clips in an exciting sports environment. We created a relaxing environment by serving the best MVP experience there is. On top of listening to each client and ensuring they receive the best of the best haircut, we also provided the MVP which contains a steam towel, massaging shampoo, and neck and shoulder massage. Many of our clients were obtained from Liberty University but also included business men and young boys. While only working here a short time I picked up a fairly large clientele that I know will follow me and support me anywhere I go. This was a walk-in only place, but answering the phones for each client to ensure their needs and questions were promptly answered. As the Marketing Coordinator I worked with many of the local Colleges, High schools, and businesses to expand our name and get more clients in the door. One event I coordinated was a golf tournament with the Liberty University gold team. We sponsored a hole and gave gift baskets and gift certificates for 50/ 50 raffles. This gave me the opportunity to expand the business and getting my name out there as well.

*A-Plus Barber Shop

Waterlick Plaza, Lynchburg, VA 24501

January 2012-May 2013

Barber/Stylist

I was working at a barber shop but we did service men, woman, and children. At this location I was self-employed paying only 30% to the owner for my booth rent on a weekly basis. I am involved directly with each client, improving my customer service. Listening and making sure I give them the best experience and follow proper guidelines to fulfill their hair needs. I did shampoos and shaves as well. This was a new experience for myself, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Answering the phones and back and forth with each client has helped continue my fast-paced working skills.

*Peace of Pie

Altavista, VA 24517

April 2011-January 2012

PREP/CASHIER

Every morning I go in and clean and cut the vegetables for the subs and salads that day. I also fill anything that is low and anything else that is needed from me. Also I answer the phones and wait on tables. I am the head cashier and have to make sure each order is correct and the available discounts are given. Between the phone, food, and tables this is a fast-paced job and has helped with multi-tasking and customer service.

*Before and After Hair Designs

21430 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24501

June 2011-January 2012

STYLIST

This is a Paul Mitchell Salon and here we showed the experience that we each could do in this environment. We offered a spa shampoo that included a scalp massage, warm towel for you face, hand massage, and neck massage. This helped build our clientele and made sure they came back. I would listen to each client and make sure I knew exactly what they were looking for. During the service I spoke to them and got to know them not only on a professional level but as a person. This helped with my customer service and showed my professional skills. We also offered retail for each client to take home to maintain the needs for their hair.

*Cost Cutters

7803 F Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24501

February 2010-February 2011

STYLIST

Greet each customer entering the salon. Listen and discuss with each client their individual styles interested in and perform the cuts and colors to the specifications. This included men, woman, and children. When there were no customers I would clean around the salon, straighten up my booth area and make sure the equipment was properly cleaned and sterilized for the next patron and answer phone calls to set up appointments or answer questions. I also waited on customers that were there to just buy products we had for sale.

*Pit Stop Marina and Grill

PO Box 637, Hurt, VA 24563

June 2006-August 2008

LIFEGUARD/CASHIER

I would watch over the pool the days assigned to me, or I would run the cash register when needed. I also would take the food to people s tables. Part of being the lifeguard on duty I had to do many other little jobs too. I would clean around the pool every day, clean and refill the bathrooms when needed, and make sure everyone was abiding by the rules, also when inside I would take orders and make sure the food was properly given and paid for.
