Designed position documents to include job descriptions, skilled documents, guidelines, and program manual. Created data driven staffing models, professional learning opportunities live, online, and through social media. Created a walkthrough form and collected documentation for program evaluation. Ongoing collaborative working relationships with Curriculum Supervisors, district departments, and special programs to ensure student success in all services.

Coordinated instructional support services for newcomer students to include a large refugee population. Facilitated the Refugee School Impact Grant which financed the designing of Newcomer Curriculum for elementary, Newcomer Summer School in a multi-aged environment focusing on language for elementary plus the framework for the Secondary Newcomer Academy (SOAR) and the Refugee Literacy Academy on Saturdays. Created professional learning opportunities to focus on diverse newcomers from various language, religious, cultural, and ethnic populations.

Evaluated educational programs to ensure compliance with state standards that served the needs of our Title 1 campus. Established relationships with community-based organizations to assist with our special populations and attended monthly state meetings. Designed Sheltered English Immersion programming for the new state regulations and trained teachers for their new certification standards which included special populations’ sensitivity workshops.
