I have been a manager of transcription and dictation services with Health Information Management with Revenue Cycle for 27 years. I have overseen projects to advance our areas by managing installations of new software, hardware, and setup for staff and physicians. I have been the project manager on multiple Nuance and M*modal upgrades, and I have developed strong relationships with the providers at our 6 hospitals, specialty practices, and dozens of urgent care centers, service providers, customer service representatives, and top management at our flagship hospital. I also setup and update the Sharepoint site for the HIM department. Identity team has been my focus this past year to help them reduce their misfiles, overlays, and chart corrections. I am also the Chairman of the Forms Committee and oversee all forms used throughout the health system. Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for new transcription and dictation staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job effectively and efficiently. Collaborate with IT department to identify and implement innovative solutions for transcription and dictation services, such as voice recognition software, to improve efficiency and accuracy. Evaluate and select the most effective transcription and dictation software, hardware, and equipment to enhance productivity and accuracy.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to the Sharepoint site for the HIM department, ensuring it is user-friendly and meets the needs of the department and organization. Manage and oversee the integration of transcription and dictation services with revenue cycle management systems, ensuring accurate and timely billing for services rendered. Identify and implement strategies to reduce misfiles, overlays, and chart corrections in the Identity team, in order to improve data accuracy and patient safety.
