EXPERIENCE

SkinMD, Orland Park IL- Surgical and Clinical Medical Assistant, Moh’s Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Clerk, Clinical Research Coordinator

July 2022-October 2023

Since I have a few roles working at SkinMD, my day to day schedule changes. My ability to adapt and learn various protocols within short amounts of time allow me to effectively assist medical professionals such as surgeons, physician assistants, laboratory staff, medical assistant staff, and administrative staff. Regardless of the role I assume, situational problem solving and troubleshooting are among the most important skills I use as each case I assist with, or handle myself, is different. Communication, both written and spoken, among all types of staff is crucial for preventing mistakes with procedures, billing, pathology, and patient relationships. As a surgical medical assistant, I prepare rooms before bringing back a patient and explaining to them what they are about to experience. I then work alongside the surgeon making sure every need is attended to while scribing their notes. Collaboration with other surgical medical assistants is necessary for planning on room usage as there are more patients than rooms. As a clinical medical assistant, I bring the patient back to a room and gather pertinent information that I then present to the provider. I scribe for them in addition to assisting in procedures in the room. I write and send medications on the provider’s behalf and schedule follow up appointments for patients at the conclusion of their appointment. As a Moh’s laboratory technician, I receive specimens from the current surgery and process it using a cryo machine and turn it into microscope slides for the surgeon to read and diagnose. A high level of precision, communication, and detail orientation are needed to ensure efficient and legitimate teamwork. As a laboratory clerk, I am extremely detail oriented as patient demographics and procedure sites are being accounted for. I complete many steps of quality assurance throughout the process of accessioning pathology specimens. I enter results of labs, both bacterial and viral cultures, and pathology reports into patient charts. I have also taken over the squamous cell cancer observational study that our lab participates in. Maintaining relationships with clients, providers, and patient participants is critical while I oversee and add necessary data following regulations. Overall, when interacting with patients, my primary goal is to keep them happy and comfortable! SKILLS

CVS, Savoy IL- Pharmacy Technician

January 2022-June 2022

I have worked as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS inside Schnucks. I interacted with patients daily, providing them care with both empathy and enthusiasm. In addition to filling prescriptions, I resolved issues that patients came to me with regarding insurance claims, refills, renewing scripts, and lowering costs. In the event that I was unable to help them further, I turned to my team for assistance and made sure that the concerns of the patient are addressed properly and therefore would be solved. Excellent customer service and patient care were priorities! This role required me to be detail oriented, a team player, a problem solver, and a multitasker without compromising quality performance. Bromley Hall, Champaign IL- Resident Advisor

August 2020-December 2020

I represented Bromley Hall as a resource professional for residents. I collaborated with other team members as well as a Resident Director to allow for the safest, most comfortable environment for residents. Communication and leadership were essential skills for success. I also co-lead the Front Desk Committee with two other RA’s where we worked together to make sure the front desk was staffed 24/7. I worked security, ensuring safety guidelines were being followed. Being on call meant that I was responsible for the well being of residents in the entire building including doing rounds twice a night to ensure all safety guidelines and Bromley Hall regulations were being followed. Working the front desk required excellent customer service, respect, and knowledge of various information parents, residents, and others would inquire about. While off duty, I remained a resource for residents asking about campus, life away from home, courses, and directing to those who could help further. Shield T3, LLC- Supply Chain Assistant

January 2021 - May 2021

As a supply chain assistant I attended meetings regarding Covid-19 testing related materials where locations and stock were directed. I wrote purchase orders and used google sheets to input the company’s entire history of purchase orders from pdf documents. I was introduced to using NetSuite, a program for companies to use to track a plethora of data. MAIN COURSEWORK
