OBJECTIVES

I am a compassionate caregiver adaptable to different needs of injured, ill, aged and special needs patients. My experience as a caregiver has enabled me to realize the importance of person centered care, vigilance and duty of care enabling vulnerable individuals to make their own decisions and live as independently as possible while being protected from abuse. The role has taught me to constantly monitor, evaluate behavior, cognitive patterns, and emotions then record and report so that potential problems are prevented or corrected. l also respect patient privacy, personal boundaries and possess good communication skills and can handle physically demanding work. Domiciliary care from 1 September 2023 till present taking care of a diabetic patient who suffered stroke

Duties

Give support system during physiotherapy to help them go back to their previous abilities.

Give the patient massages around the stroked areas to increase blood flow and reduce numbness.

Prepare of proper meals by regulating amount of sugar, starch and protein levels according to doctor`s prescription to maintain the patient sugar levels and feeding when necessary.

Administer of prescribed medication such as hormone insulin.

Help with daily activities by preparing and implementing activity schedules.

Provide oral care, bed making and personal care ( dressing .undressing and bathing).

Give the patient palliative care and emotional support during their last days of living.

Maintain of patient progress notes for the family and care team. Health Care Assistant at Ralstein Home for the Aged from 1June 2023 to 31 August 2023

Taking care of patients with Alzheimer`s disease and help them with their daily activities

Helping promote patients mental and physical activity by, for example talking to them, helping them do things for themselves, prompting, supporting them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreation.

Administering prescribed medication.

Responding to emergency situations by performing first aid and CPR.

Taking patients to the hospital by ambulance for advanced medical assistance.

Patients observations ( temperature, blood pressure, weight).

Taking care of bed ridden patients constantly check their diapers and clean their surroundings.

Assisting elderly patients with toileting and constantly checking their dipper for changing.

Personal care (washing, undressing, bathing and dressing).

Preparing Meals, serving and feeding when necessary.

Taking care of patients with open wounds, wash, dressing and bandaging them.

Helping patients overcome any mobility problem and physical disabilities, Including helping in the use of care aids and personal equipment.

Assisting blind and myopia patients with dressing, taking them to rest rooms, reading for them and playing some music, making sure they are comfortable since they always think they are left out in some activities.

Establishing of routines to keep things normal for dementia patients, since this brings order structure into an otherwise confused daily life.

Helping dementia patients maintain dignity, also maintained tasks without offering too many choices for them.

Assisting cancer patients with emotional support during Chemotherapy sections.

Cleaning, sanitizing facilities, laundry washing and ironing

Help with daily activities by preparing and implementing activity schedules.

Bed changing and making

Making sure patients are free from any form of abuse

Ensuring the correct and timeous medication intake, monitoring and keeping records of patients and giving reports to doctors during routine and emergency visits.

Planning and scheduling physical activities like walks to boost physical fitness. Skills
