I did my Placement with Saint Joseph Rest Home for the Elderly, Ilford, London.

The Service Users in that home are Elderly male and female that had Dementia, Incontinence and Mental cases.

I understand the risk involve in Care Jobs and Care Principles especially in the area of Moving and Handling a client (service user).

I also understand what it means to give Equal Opportunities.

I understand what it means for channel of communication, information and the Importance of Confidentiality.

I am willing and ready to learn so as to enhance my Career and be profitable to the Organization am working for and create room for more skills.

CARE Responsibilities:

The passion and enthusiasm I have, made me to take care of the Elderly as follows:

Help them to bath/Shower and dress them up with their desired clothes. I have respect for their right of privacy, ideas and Choice.

Vacuum their rooms, living room, hall-way, kitchen and their surroundings.

Take them out for a walk to the garden or to the park.

Wash their toilets, bathrooms and mop the necessary floor areas. Washing and ironing their cloths, beddings, window blinds.

Arrange their wardrobe, living and bed rooms, Kitchen, laundry room and the surroundings.

Set table for their different meals according to the food rota.

Feed those that cannot feed themselves.

Wash their plates, tea cups, spoons, forks and tidy up the dinning. Water the flower, vacuum the garden with vacuum machine.

Make sure they are well covered while asleep especially in the winter. On and off the heater for adequate room temperature.

For those with incontinence case, change their diapers regularly.

Give them equal opportunity no matter, their Gender, Belief, Religion, Colour, Races and Ethnicity.
