Primary Areas of Law Practiced as Plaintiff’s Counsel: Medical malpractice (25% of practice) – Numerous cases litigated. Six significant cases involved taking and defending numerous depositions, moving for and rebutting motions for summary judgment
(including preparing points and authorities, client and expert declarations, separate statement of undisputed facts, opposing separate statement of material facts, and proposed orders), offer to compromise (CA Code of Civ. Proc. Sec. 998), motions to compel answers to depositions and for production of documents at deposition and for sanctions, mediation briefs, joint trial readiness statements, oral arguments, designations of experts, in limine motions, preparation of jury instructions, notices of lodgment, and judicial notices.
Personal injury (25% of practice) – Litigated a number of cases arising from automobile collisions and
“slip and fall” matters.
Contract litigation (20% of practice) – Litigated several breach of contract cases. One significant case involved moving for preliminary injunction, litigating motion for summary judgment (including preparing points and authorities, separate statement of undisputed facts, and proposed orders), and mediation briefs.
Administrative law (4% of practice) – Litigated and handled hearings in Social Security Insurance and Social Security Administrative Appeal cases.
