• Re-tooled the entire InfoSec posture aligned with both NIST, v2, and Defense-in-Depth frameworks leading to an enhanced security posture and no external breaches.

Vice-President & Chief Medical Information Officer 2016 - 2019 Launched the ITS Analytics department, initiated the enterprise-wide Data Governance initiative, led the transformation of the Asante Health Information Management department, and led the overhaul of clinical EHR training.

• Developed the business plan and gained CEO approval for the ITS Analytics department. This department is the enterprise solution for all information products including custom SQL & Clarity reporting and Radar Dashboards. Information product delivery time improved by 82%.

• Spearheaded enterprise adoption of OpenNotes, increasing medical record accuracy and the ability for patients to review records and comprehend their medical care (through MyChart).

• Led the Healthy Planet Epic module implementation delivering significant value related to Population Health.

• Launched the first-ever, Asante Data Governance effort from scratch. Crafted the Asante DG plan to include Data Quality, Data Use (glossary), Data Movement, and Data Accountability.

• Led the overhaul of the inpatient Epic training experience with attention to Credential Trainer certification, actual patient profile buildouts within Epic, and customer CT shadowing resulting in an enhanced training experience as evidenced by a YoY 42% improvement in provider satisfaction scores.

• Conceived, wire-framed, and built the novel Epic in-hospital, Code Blue, EHR response tool (CodeRunner) This tool allowed responding physicians to quickly understand patient-specific parameters, identify reversible etiologies for clinical demise, and act to countermeasure the source of the deterioration. Epic Systems incorporated CodeRunner into their model (foundation). EHR build is now available anywhere the Epic EHR system is installed.
