Objective:

To obtain a position that will allow me to utilize my over 40 years of construction

knowledge in both residential and light commercial remodeling.

Experience:

1979 to 1985:

Worked with contractors remodeling homes and light commercial construction. I acquired an

extensive amount of on the job training in framing, engineered wood, roof truss, bearing requirements, finish trimming, cabinetry, siding, windows and doors. Handled all material take-offs and cost estimating,

roof installations, full house, room additions, basement, kitchen and remodels.

1985 to 1921

Started my own construction business Advantage Custom Homes and Remodeling LLC. I was the

general contractor working directly with homeowners, subcontractors and material suppliers in scheduling

remodeling and new home builds. I handled all contracts, cost estimating, change orders, budgets, and the

design/blueprints of these projects. I would deal with local building authorities to insure these projects

abide by the city or local building codes. Working with insurance agents, adjusters and homeowners on fire, water and storm damage claims.

1921 to Present:

Commercial construction field supervisor for Swanson Construction Co. Duties included coordinate labor trades, owners and material suppliers, Architects and utilities to complete the project on time and in/under budget. I am also the main contact for all Inspectors. I am and have responsible for 10 to 50 million dollar projects.

Education:

4 years of college with a business management/residential / light commercial/residential engineering.

Carpenter's apprenticeship program.

Numerous classroom hours on calculating/sizing engineered wood / steel products, roof truss design and layout. Calculating load and bearing specifications to maintain structural requirements. (classes mostly manufactures of the products). Also, extensive training and experience in fire and water restorations. I have completed the OSHA 10 hour certification.

Skills:

With over 30 years of sales working directly Homeowners from estimating, design to completion.

The ability to multitask multiple phases, of different projects. I have managed multi unit projects both new build and existing remodels that ranged from 15 to 20 million each. Communicate with homeowners, P/M’s, subcontractors and suppliers from start to finish on or below time and budget deadlines.

Always maintaining the quality of workmanship, material and safety at every level.
