Duties

Repair and maintenance of all conveying systems, (belt, chain, screw) speed reducer (gearbox) fans (radial and axial) crusher (jaw and cone), coupling, pumps, valves, compressor, agitater’s, boiler, mills, guillotines, welding car and co2, torch cutting, rollers, pulleys and sprockets, pipe fitting, furnace, blowers, water systems and cooling, vibrax screen, basic electrical experience.

Hydraulics and Pneumatics

Identification of components and blue print reading. Maintenance, repair, fault finding and installation of power packs, pumps (vane, piston and gear), cylinder, pinch rolls, shear, presses, billet pusher, semi–rotary actuator, solenoid valve, directional control valve and pneumatic service unit.

Machining
