The Director of Group Homes is responsible for the overall operations of Residential Group Homes. The position requires candidates to work independently as well as effectively with a team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for supervising, coaching, mentoring, inspiring, and guiding all employees in setting and achieving the highest standards of excellence consistent with the mission/vision of the company. The qualified candidate will be flexible and provide oversight and guidance so that each individual is provided with meaningful and respectful care appropriate to their individualized needs. The qualified candidate will oversee staff scheduling, facility budgets, medical and recreational activities as well as ensuring individuals are appropriately integrated into the community.
Responsible for recruiting, orienting, training and supervising staff.
Oversight of all aspects of staff performance; performance evaluation, progressive discipline, mediation of staff disputes and grievance procedures in accordance with state and federal laws.
Leadership in the setting and achieving of strategic and organizational goals.
Established training programs for staff about all aspects of workplace performance and professional development.
Lead the development and implementation of clinical trainings for all staff; including New Staff Training and Safety Training.
Coordinate Clinical Case Conferences including multidisciplinary case reviews.
Coordinate monthly Clinical Management supervision group; providing senior clinical counsel to Program Directors and Coordinators.
Participate in Agency efforts to secure Federal grants and State contracts; provide reports as needed to funding sources.
Write comprehensive, recovery-oriented treatment plans and, keeping the needs and preferences of the persons served at the forefront of the process.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY SERVICES, CONNECTIONS CSP, INC
The Director of Developmental Disability Services is a clinician with administrative experience and a good command of the treatment, support and rehabilitation needs of adults with cognitive disabilities, mental health, substance abuse and debilitating medical conditions. The Director of Disability Services is responsible for the administrative and personal care management of a CLAs/NH with no more than 3 individuals, including the hiring, scheduling and supervision of residence staff and the coordination of residential, psychosocial rehab and personal care services.
Schedules and supervises CLA/NH staff.
Ensures that all staff understands and carry out agency policy.
Monitors and ensures program compliance with Rules and Regulations for DDDS Community Living Standards and Connections Policies and Procedures for the management of residential settings.
Ensures that treatment and care plans for individuals are carried out.
Ensures that program staff have completed all documentation required in the electronic record (THERAP).
Works in conjunction with the Director of Program Development to ensure that clinical process and documentation is complete and appropriate and reflects the treatment needs of the individuals.
Provides quality assurance by reviewing at least 100% of all clinical records per month and by signing off on all treatment plans and monthly summaries.
Attends weekly treatment team meetings, monthly general staff meetings and attends shift report at least once per day.
Supervises all staff and provide them with monthly and quarterly feedback, and annual reviews.
Ensures that environments are safe, clean and free from hazardous conditions.
Ensures that the program is following Drug Free Workplace requirements and other internal and external policies governing staff management.
Assures that all program staff are aware of Policy Memo guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Social Services, including those related to Patient Abuse (PM 46), and HIV transmission.
Assures that the Core Team physicians are kept up to date on individual needs.
Works with community and professional groups to assure a mutually tolerant and amicable treatment environment.
Coordinates and schedules staff training to ensure that all staff is certified in CPR, First Aid, Medication Assistance and Patient Rights.
