Agrolibano Experience- (Galia, Harper and Honey Dew melon, okra, watermelon, sweet corn, squash, sorghum, maize, cover crops) I have worked for the last 17 years in Melon Crop Production and other crops on 1500 hectares with drip irrigation system, NDVI. Integrated Pest Management with entomopathogenic fungi, parasitoids, and predators.
Integrated Soil Management with biofertilizers and bio controllers. Crop protection with electrostatic spray systems (ESS) and forced air, Drones sprayer systems.
Experience Almeria, Spain: Management and production of melon, tomato, lettuce in a greenhouse (900 square meters, automated climate control, multicapilla in Fundación Finca Experimental UAL-ANECOOP) in soilless crops, using different mixtures of organic substrates (coconut fiber, solid vermicompost, vermicompost tea).

Master's Practice in Protected Horticulture carried out in the design, evaluation and control of agricultural research in greenhouses (CSS) at the Cajamar Experimental Station, Las Palmerillas, El Ejido, Almería https://www.fundacioncajamar.es/es/comun/estacion-experimental- palmerillas/
GOALS ACHIEVED IN AGROLIBANO:
1. The first goal achieved was to produce melon without exceeding the maximum allowed level of pesticide residues (MRL's), which allowed opening the door to European and USA markets.
2. Japanese market open for Honduran melon, it was after the study and verification that Ceratitis sp does not reproduce in melon, which was demonstrated for 3 years monitoring adults and larvae in melon fields.
We have also tried different nutritional programs. The results obtained have shown that we can achieve the quality that this market requires; although for the Asian market we need to produce melons that must present very good quality 40-50 days after packing.
3. Experience in Agricultural Biotechnology
We have developed an integrated soil management program in which we managed to eliminate different chemical products, applying efficient microorganisms (EM) and plant growth promoting microorganisms
(PGPMs), increased the production of Trichoderma sp, Metarhizium sp, Beauveria sp, Bacillus subtilis etc., crop rotation, balanced nutritional program, crop rotation and incorporation of stubble to increase the organic matter content of the soil.
For this program it was necessary to build a biocontrol production center
(AGROCIBI) to supply all these PGPMs, especially Trichoderma sp; Currently, this Laboratory produces 40,000 kg of Trichoderma asperellum spores and 120,000 liters of Bacillus subtillis metabolites produced in bioreactors to be applied to melon fields each year. In 2022 we began with the application of N-fixing and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria, both functionalities selected in special-selective substrate for each functionality; Very good results were obtained in biomass and crop productivity (melon, okra), in addition to a reduction in the cost of production due to the reduction in the application of synthetic or chemical fertilizers. In addition to the above, 400 were also produced,
4. Implement a control program of the 4 w that USDA-FDA recommends avoiding the contamination of fruits: water (water), wildlife (wildlife), waste (waste) and workers (workers), this discipline must be strictly considered in fruit for export. 5. Experience in Balance Score Card to keep all the main processes aligned to the Value Proposition or Business Strategy. 6. Operating efficiency (Avilla Metrics Brazil) focused on cost reduction, budget control, accountability, business plan, value proposition.
7. Soil preparation and program to recover the natural fertility of the soil.
8. Protection of crops, Research
9. Successful okra cultivation, 50 hectares, best quality and production, yield 5500 kg (5 kg box) per hectare. Export to Europe, Spain, UK, USA.
10. I acquired my experience in Integrated Pest Management (1988 - 2022) with training in Mexico, Cuba, Brazil and Spain. 11. Experience in certifications such as HACCP, BRC, FDA, Global Gap and Certification of supermarkets such as TESCO, ASDA. OGL, COSCO.
12. Experience with other crops such as Tomato in the open field and greenhouse, Oil Palm, Banana, Sugar Cane, Kabocha. 13. Countries visited for training: USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Brazil, England, Spain, Israel, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China. 14. Experience in protected production considering the water footprint and nitrogen control in drainages.
