There is an expansion of the NLNG production facilities resulting in increased LNG production and warm ships being handled during loading operations have significantly contributed to the increased generation of Boil Off Gas (BOG) relative to the original plant design. This has led to a limitation of the BOG handling system and its inability to process the warm ships without the need for gas flaring. It is intended that the additional BOG compressor shall have a compression capacity of 5 kg/sec of BOG at a suction temperature of -120 degree C with a quench system installed to allow cooling down of warm ship vapor return.

The Usari fuel gas system was originally designed to operate on dehydrated gas to prevent hydrate formation across the fuel gas PCVs. However, the Usari dehydration system has been out of service and decommissioned for many years. Occasionally, particularly during low ambient temperatures, hydrates form across the PCVs leading to fuel gas PCV malfunction and Usari shutdown on fuel gas PSHH/PSLL. COMPANY plan to eliminate the potential for hydrates formation by substituting Usari wet fuel gas with Oso dry residue gas.

Additionally, ~25MMSCFD Usari NGL-rich HP gas is sent down Usari FC and FB gas lift pipelines for gas lift purposes. The wet gas drops out liquid in the pipeline and raises the potential for an increased pipeline corrosion rate. Wet gas substitution with dry gas will serve to extend the life of the pipelines. Usari wet gas substitution with Oso dry gas will be done via piping modifications as well as some Instrumentation works at Usari FR Scope Tie-in Isolations are intended for execution during opportunity shutdown of the facility

Projects: Jan, 2015 – Till Date: Lead Process Engineer on this Project Amukpe Liquid Treatment Facility is an oil/produced water handling facility with installed capacity of 100 Mbpd gross. The facility consists of two independent processing trains of 50 Mbpd capacity each. The facility is designed for bulk separation of oil and water while flashing associated gas to flare. Separated oil

(less than 10% BSW) is metered and evacuated via export pumps to sales pipeline. Separated produced water is fed into the inlet of a Produced Water Treatment package for further treatment to effluent quality fit for injection into disposal wells. The facility throughput has been on the increase and it is currently at the limits of the design capacity. It is, therefore, intended to upgrade the capacity of the facility with additional 50 Mbpd liquids handling package. Water cuts from current productions to the facility are below the design value of 40% thereby making oil handling the bottleneck. As a temporary measure aimed at Weldone Oboke
