LASER WELD MACHINE OPERATOR

Responsibilities: Refer to the PDS for the part numbers. Verify the parameters of the Laser welding and weld schedule. Set up program on computer verify the tooling tight on the chuck of the laser welding. The surfaces of the parts to be joined shall be free from objectionable films such as oils, grease, paint, ink, dirt, heavy oxides, scale or other foreign substances or surface conditions detrimental to the joining process. Place assembly in fixture and locate the component into housing. Attach second part of tooling (if required) and ensure orientation of the part in relation to housing. Verify the alignment between the component and housing. Refer to the weld schedule if tach weld is required. Quantity of laser tack, shots and degrees to need rotate listed on weld schedule. Verify the alignment between the component and housing on the camera, make a welding around the part. And verify the weld, if the part is good, make the rest of the lot. Then Helium leak check (Calibrated Leak Rate: 7.50 x 10-8), Hot water bubble test, Pressure leak check 30 PSI and 100 PSI.
