Electrical Artisan. June, 2020 – Present.

Overall responsibilities:

Ensuring that all safety rules and procedures are always observed to safeguard yourself, workmates and company property.

Ensure availability of all electrical machines and equipment involved in the copper ore production by attending to breakdowns in time, carrying out general maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting. Equipment and machinery include but not limited the following:

*Electrical panels and switch gears.

*Electrical Scrapper units/winches.

*Electrical DC locomotive trains.

*Trolley line.

*Transformers and motors.

Designing, wiring and installation of new or existing electrical power and control systems.

Conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ascertain the cause of failure. This is achieved by the use of good troubleshooting technics and electrical test instruments/tools.

Conducting medium and high voltage switching in various switch stations and substations. This is achieved by complying with Electrical statutory regulations Mine Safety Department (MSD) with regards to High Voltage switching and general handling of electrical apparatus.

Overall responsibilities:

Ensuring plant availability and reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining automated plant equipment for the processing, packaging and storage of food and beverage. Equipment/machinery include: injection and blow molding machine, bottling machine, retort, heat shrink-wrapper, aseptic and ESL pouch, water treatment plant, cooling towers, cold rooms and utility.

Recording and monitoring the daily energy (KWH) consumption for the purpose generating the costs spent on electricity (energy Billing) and reviewing maximum demand.

General maintenance of the facility which included; battery uninterruptible power supply UPS and the standby 750KVA Cummins and 80KVA FG Wilson generators.

Adhering to safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) and GMP (Good Manufacturing practices) guidelines.

C)LUSAKA WATER SUPPLY & SANITATION COMPANY.

Key responsibilities;-

Carrying out preventive maintenance in power substations, Booster service plants and Borehole plants so as to maintain consist water production in all sectors. My team ensured that there was 95% of water supply to the allocated operational area.

Updating and maintaining inventory records of all equipment and materials to ensure accountability.

Conducting regular checkups and metering on all protection systems in all pump stations, booster stations and substations. Protection systems monitored included; - Earth fault protection, over and under voltage/current protection and Overload protection.

Testing all newly procured submersible and surface water pumps for a purpose of acquiring standard pump test and achieving company satisfaction.

Servicing and Installation of Water pumps, Induction Motors (for surface pumping), Generators and chlorinating facilities.
