WORK EXPERIENCE

MESH Incorporated: Production Software/Hardware Engineer

Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) - August 2017 to October 2023

●Lead Field Engineer and POC of the PFPA Maintenance and Support Contract. Responsible for creating maintenance quotes for Pan Tilt Units (PTUs), analyzing maintenance procedures annually to optimize maintenance routines the following year to reduce any down time for site locations or equipment, and scheduling quarterly meetings and visits. Interfaced with Program Managers and Directors in the government, GS15 to SES Levels.

●Team Leader of five Engineers and Technicians with daily and long-term goals and assignments.

●Troubleshooted custom Printed Circuit boards for the improved Mobile Chemical Agent Detector (iMCAD) - a single pixel IR camera system with complex electronics and embedded software on Linux platform.

●Developed test procedures and concept of operations for simulant releases.

●Developed written procedures for troubleshooting Quickset Pan and Tilt units and the iMCAD.

●Created database and spreadsheets to track maintenance records.

●Performed troubleshooting and maintenance for the iMCAD at Pentagon and other strategic sites in Washington DC.

●Trained personnel at the Integrated Emergency Operations Center (IEOC) to operate, run diagnostics, and replace sub-components of the MCAD system.

●Parsed through large chunks of log files for the purposes of identifying chemical detects, chemical alarms, communication lapses, and diagnosed unit health concerns.

●Processed Infrared spectrum data taken from detect and alarm events to improve the iMCADs chemical library.

Stand-off Chemical Agent Detector (SCAD) Van/iMCADs - August 2017 to October 2023

●Lead Field Engineer and POC for the SCAD Maintenance and Support Contract. Interfaced with USMC Colonels, Gunnery Sergeants, and CWO-4’s in a Mission Critical environment.

●Aided in the transition from the older SCAD vans to iMCAD units via cost benefit analysis reports, in depth comparisons of the embedded technology and capabilities of the units.

●Developed training material and provided training to active duty Marines.

●Developed monthly maintenance procedures and requirements for successful monthly checks.

●Successfully patched OEM circuit boards by replacing failed PCB components with COTS parts to meet a mission critical timeline.

●Performed troubleshooting and maintenance on-site at Naval Support Activity South Potomac.

Chemical Cloud Tracking System (CCTS) - March 2018 to February 2023

●Lead Field Engineer and POC for the CCTS Maintenance and Support Contract.

●Developed maintenance schedule for eight sensors, scanners, communication and power supplies.

●Coordinated shipments and maintenance goals with US Army representatives to ensure devices were meeting their requirements.

●Lead Field Engineer during annual system validation at US Army Dugway Proving Ground (Dugway, UT). Performed maintenance in the field and represented MESH, Inc. at briefings.

●Provided 24/7 remote technical support for CCTS systems from the East Coast during tests.

Nuclear Biological Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle (NBCRV) Stryker Sensor Suite Product Development and Integration - January 2018 to October 2023

●Lead Field Engineer and POC involved in the redesign of the NBCRV Stryker sensor suite that would mount the iMCAD on each NBCRV Stryker.

●This involved a redesign of the iMCAD to meet the Strykers requirements and hard government deadlines.

●Creating comprehensive subassemblies that could be replaced at a military base by a US Army Technician.

●Troubleshooting multi layered PCBs to be used in subassemblies for power, communications, and data processing.

●Redesigning the Fourier Transform Infrared Camera (FTIR) to accommodate for the rough terrain the Stryker will traverse.

●Developing rigorous documentation to accommodate for any level of US Army soldier to operate the unit.

●Aiding the US Army in adapting our software into their Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) application.
