FX Confirmations Consolidation Mar 2022 – Till Date

Currently FX paper confirmations are generated in multiple applications like Topaz and FX Calypso. The project focuses on consolidating Confirmation generation for FX trades into the centralized platform called Confirmation Platform for cross asset class trades and reduces the cost of maintaining multiple applications.

Involved in Requirements analysis, high level design flows and guidance to project team on various decisions related to static data maintaince and document delivery methods like Docusign and Zix.

Working with Technology management to come up with tech estimates and coming up with technology delivery plan while parallely doing Scrum Master role and Lead Deveoper role to work with developers on analyzing and enhancing existing services to Support FX confirmation process.

CFTC 23.501 Back Loading Dec 2021 – Feb 2022

CFTC 23.501 SHRP required to store all existing records in 1CNF to Filenet.

Worked on design, development and back loaded more than 150K+ records on time.

CFTC 23.501 Confirmations Retention SHRP Feb 2021 – Dec 2021

All CIB confirmation records are maintained in a compliant manner in line with CFTC Part 23.501. There are instances where a CIB record: i.) does not exist, ii.) does not meet regulatory requirements, or iii.) is not stored in a compliant manner. As part of this project a thorough analysis has been done to determine the compliance of the records with regards to the CFTC 23.501 rule and to plan for necessary Corrective Actions to align with remediation efforts. SHRP scope covered paper and electronic for all asset classes.

Businnes Requirements Review – Extentisely involved in doing BRD review and analyze the features and workflow changes requested and provided technical feedback on some of the requirements to align with current operations processes and steps .

Analysis – Used a detailed knowledge of application features and functions, assessed the scope and impact of business needs throughout the analysis to bring the SHRP project to completion.

Design and Implementation – Worked with 15th teams to come up with flow design to capture required records for retention purpose by considering several initiatives like FX consolidation and tech initiatives like cloud readiness.

Confirmation Platform Re-design [Scrittura Replacement] Nov 2018 – Dec 2020

Current Derivatives Confirmation application [Scritttura] is planned to decommission by End of 2020 as the vendor is ending the support for the product. This application is replaced using Vendor Products like Pega for workflow, SmartDX for confirm generation and inhouse core platform to consume front office trades and filter them before sending to SmartDX for confirm generation and Pega for workflow.

Analysis of various Tools – Analyzed and worked on POC while deciding the products for workflow and document generation for new application.

DTCC Credit electronic matching (DSMatch) is planned to migrate to Tradeserv of IHSMarkit early next year.

Worked on analyzing the impact of this change for wellsfargo trades and added schema volition as per new platform. Provided technical guidance during industry wide G15 firms UAT testing and Finally migrated the credit trades submission to cross connect for removing the dependency of changes on the migration week as this replatforming is taking longer than expected.

DSP Migration Jun 2018 – Dec 2018

Equity FO feed to confirmation system was tag value pairs from application called Trading System Adaptor which was implemented as tactical approach to meet the regulatory deadlines. But as that tactical approach is in place for few years, lot of products are customized in confirmation system based on non standard tag value feed. Equity FO later created a strategic feed which is well structured schema to send xml’s to downstream confirmation system and reporting system. Analyzed the gaps with new feed and Involved in data mapping of the new feed format to the existing templates in the confirmation system.

Mifid Article 59 is basicaly sending a notice to the client in a durable medium confirming execution of the order as soon as possible and no later than the first business day following execution. These templates are developed in very short duration for MIfid regulation as the legal feedback came very late.

Scrittura Upgrade – Move Scrittura implementation from version 4.3.1 SP1 to 4.4.0.2 SP10 which included migration from JDK1.6 / WebLogic 11g (10.3.6) to JDK1.7 and WebLogic 12c (12.1.3). Implementation required debugging and correction of some core product functionality. Also configured the upgrade of DocGenServer and PDFServer to the 1.3.7 versions.

Java Code Re-engineering – Modified existing Java classes to comply with new internal Spring 3 startup methods.

Tool Creation – DOCX-Templates tools created to aide in template dependency understanding (KShell and Java versions). XML/ GenericXMLParser tools created for the aide in accepting XML messages in Scrittura’s Message Processing: XML Flattener – hierarchical formatted XML to XPATH, GenericXMLParser – standalone version of the internal Scrittura version.

Static Data Module: Implemented newly purchased add-on module Static Data to automate Master Confirmation Agreement information for Equity Derivative Confirmations.

Equity Project: Involved in automation of CFTC Equity products into Scrittura platform by implementing a new workflow, queues, permissions and interfaces for equity doc team, marketers and traders. Solved technical challenges with New Queue View and developed workflow and GUI interface changes.

SigBlock Project: Implemented POC for Signature Block project integration to Scrittura and worked with GDD team for requirements.

SDR Project: Built a new interface with SDR application to alert SDR the completed trades execution date time and automation of Paper Confirm upload for manual Trades and automated response flow to Scrittura from ICE. Added Support to send SDR Reporting Data to downstream reporting applications.

DSMatch v10: Updated the DTCC products with new SDR fields to facilitate the SDR reporting process to support submission of Dodd-Frank reporting elements to DTCC.

GDD – ISDA Enrichment: Worked on a new interface to pull the ISDA date from GDD directly to reduce the need of manual reconciliation. Worked on adding Caching ability for ISDA Lookup to reduce performance bottleneck.

MQ Filter to IBM Data Power: Assisted the migration of DTCC MQ filter to use IBM Data Power.

Pre-Trade and Post-Trade Acknowledge: Prototyped pre-trade and post-trade acknowledgement workflows.

Scrittura Upgrade: Played a major role in the successful migration of Scrittura 4.1.19 to Scrittura 4.3.1 SP1.

Implemented many fixes to increase straight-through processing efficiency.

Endur/eConfirm: Used to manage previous EnConnect ICE instance and added mapping to support various new Products and enhanced the eConfirm code for special cases. Involved in decommission project of Enconnect to strategic Wells Inhouse application.

Scrittura Internal Trade Notification [ITN]: Worked on the solution to send internal trade notification for V10 trades that were migrated to V7. With this trade notification, Calypso was able to keep V10 trades customers alerted when new trades come in and be able to function the same.

Scrittura Dodd-Frank: Due to the new Dodd-Frank regulation, all derivatives and commodity confirmations were required to incorporate new legal language.Worked on adding this to all confirmation with an easy way to update that language.

Merger Projects (Wachovia – Wells Fargo): Designed the framework within Scrittura for integration of Wells Fargo templates. Integrated Wells Fargo commodities trades into the existing back office and confirmation application

GDD: Designed the message architecture between CID and GDD where CID publishes any creation and updates to customer data onto to messaging queue and GDD subscribes to those messages. Involved in writing stored proc for CID GDD mapping and Customer name recon jobs between CID and GDD systems. Involved in LE Linkage project for GDD.

Novation Consent Project: Consent = Confirmation functionality allows any trades that are consent accepted to submit confirm submission for trade into TIW through Novation consent protocol. Involved in development of new process which can store DTCC messages to overcome the timing issue with DTCC responses and feed to Scrittura. Provided required support during internal and industry testing.

Commodity Physical Project: Worked on the necessary enhancements to the confirmation platform to support physical commodity trade confirmations which allowed the Odyssey business to be migrated to the Wachovia platform.
