My time with Day & Zimmermann was spent working nuclear refueling outages around the country and new construction of co-

generation power plants. Over that time frame my responsibilities increased from Safety Supervisor to Site EHS Manager.

As Site EHS Manager at the Calpine, PA project we accumulated over 750,000 man-hours with one OSHA recordable

incident. During the same project I implemented a behavior observation program that included project managers,

supervisors, and foreman which all participated to make it the safest project of the year. Some of my responsibilities were

as follows:

Assisting with hiring, training, and orientation of employees including drug screenings.

Implemented the safety program to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as adhere to company policies and procedures.

Preformed weekly safety audits as well as reviewing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for accuracy.

Preformed plant safety walk downs to address and mitigate potential hazards.

Gave weekly all hands safety meetings as well as attend daily toolbox talks.

Investigate incidents and file the appropriate paperwork as well as case management for injured employees while working with the workers compensation department.

Supervise the confined space program.

Instructed OSHA core classes which included but not limited to the following: Fall protection, silica, hexavalent chromium, respirator awareness, fit tested employees, hot work, LOTO, confined space supervisor, attendant, and entrant, rigging, aerial work platforms, and ladder usage.
