As a Maintenance Supervisor I am responsible for leading and coaching a group of hourly associates on the weekend shift in overseeing maintenance of the distribution facility, including; conveyors, sortation (Dematic & Beumer), and other equipment repairs and maintenance within the state-of-the-art, high-technology distribution center.

I currently supervise 10 technicians levels 1 through 5

Along with the role of Maintenance supervisor I am also charged with the responsibility of the automation systems of the entire facility and this includes but is not limited to;

Allen Bradley controls; Programming and troubleshooting of SLC 503,Compactlogix and controllogix PLC’s,

HMI (Human Machine Interface); Over 15,000 tags within this system to monitor all of the facilities PLC’s to make one central point to control the flow of the operation

This plant was a 7 day a week operation and through building the preventative /predictive maintenance programs we now complete the entire workload in 4 days, this has expanded the capacity of the facility.

Managed twelve maintenance supervisors through all maintenance functions in all areas of building/ equipment maintenance including utilities service, machine repair, conveyor systems, compressed air systems, HVAC, fire/life safety systems as well as elevator, plumbing/water and sewer.

Developed and implemented company wide, a comprehensive preventative maintenance process to ensure that all equipment was fully functional and reliable.

Created maintenance training and cross training program to continuously improve the technical abilities and capabilities of maintenance associates across the company.

Responsible for identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives, service enhancements and process improvements within the maintenance function. Responsible for creating and negotiating outside vendors contracts to complete service and repairs to the company's facility and equipment in compliance with maintenance agreements and within expected budgetary guidelines.

Had responsibility for long and short-term capital projects and planning including outside service providers.

Responsible for maintaining financial controls (Sarbanes/Oxley) over the maintenance budget and our 4.3 million dollar spare parts inventory.

I was a key member of the team to build the new 345,000 sq/ft bakery/manufacturing facility. Which was completed June 2010. Received the company's Presidents award for individual contributions in keeping the project on time and under budget.
