G.Werber Bryan Psychiatric Hospital (Independent/South Carolina) - (About 10 hours a week)

(June 2014 - 2018) (Volunteering/Shadow) – Volunteering and shadowing Dr. Robert Breen. Help conduct new patient interviews, also help with the facilitation of patient care. Help to make treatment plans for the patients in terms of their medications and dosage amounts; working as a scribe for documenting treatment plans. Also help with the chart review of other physicians, so as to get acclimated to expectations in terms of professionalism of patient care. CSL PLASMA (South Carolina 20 hours a week) (February 2018 – January 2019) Worked as a sterile processing tech in the laboratory. Learned how to work in tandem with phlebotomists to receive intake and collection of the patients’ blood plasma. Centrifuge the plasma in the laboratory to separate blood and kept all the specimen for storage. Required knowledge of standard laboratory technique as well as a good work ethic. Vector Marketing Corporation – Sales Representative – (May 2012 – Aug 2012)

(Independent) – A job as a sales representative for vector Marketing Corporation. Helped with the display and coercing of customers into the purchase of luxury cutlery that fit their own specific needs. Here I was paid by commission of sales. Communication service for the deaf (CSD) – Captioning Assistant – (January 2019-May 2020)

– Primary responsibilities limited to helping to facilitate communication between people. This is done by listening precisely to each person and transcribing the conversation appropriately and quickly. This is done primarily with people who have disabilities specifically those who are deaf or hard of hearing. This can be done remotely and in person. Schofield Barracks Commissary – (Bagger – Paid/volunteer) (Spring 2011 – Fall 2012) – Bagger for the commissary on the military base. Was not paid regularly, only based on when customer deems fit. Bagged groceries for customers and was paid by tips. It was really more of a flexible job, which fit in with an already hectic schedule. HER-2 Gene/Mir- 489 Research – (Spring-Fall 2015 – University of South Carolina – Dr. Hexin Chen) – This was breast cancer research on the HER-2 gene done through the department of biological sciences. It was conducted via an independent study under Dr. Hexin Chen. The research was done through experimentation and laboratory procedures such as agarose gel electrophoresis with testing and manipulation of lab mice. Things like IHC

(immunehistocompatability complex) which detect the presence of protein within a tissue section were done.

MedEx Academy – (Internship May – June 2015 – USC Greenville School of Medicine – Al Squire) – Continuous exploration of the medical field and its different specialties. This is done through the Greenville health hospital system and serves to be a pipeline program for picking out students who choose to apply to the school of medicine. Shadow many different doctors, learn a lot about the human anatomy, and apply the knowledge to clinical settings and observations. Gallatin Valley County Rest Home/Nursing home (Independent/Montana) – (About 4-5 hours a week – for 10 weeks) (Volunteering) – Went to resting home to help provide some nursing care for elderly patients. Specifically one patient in particular, Gene Hermenson, 74 years old spent time with patients, talk and relate to patients and just help give patients care generally speaking. LEADERSHIP

GLD – (Graduation with Leadership Distinction in research – University of South Carolina) – Chosen by peers to graduate with leadership distinction in research due to findings and due to active work within the community. Must have a certain GPA (3.0) and instructor and professor approval to do so, considered an honor and isn’t freely given to all students. Many requirements must be met including making an E-portfolio to display your findings to the public
