Board of Directors; Brook Theater, Bound Brook, NJ (digital marketing) Designed and developed the organization’s website through creation and collaboration with third-party vendors with the agreement of the fellow board of directors members. Guided the organization’s marketing team during the website and social media development process to ensure goals are met. Continued to contribute text and visual content to enhance the website and social media “blasts” for programs, special presentations, and events. Liaise with customers and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues affecting end-user access and performance. EIC (Engineer in Charge)

Have been re-mounting and up-purposing a mobile flite-pak hybrid video production system for full

'FAX' broadcast-style, live switch video production, and IP streaming. The result is robust full-featured multi-camera, robotic and traditional video-production facility for multiple distribution platforms. This has involved all systemology skills for the concept's design engineering, system-integration and hands- on SDI-based video/audio build out.

EIC (Engineer in Charge) Video Engineer, Stagelight Electric Productions Have been retained by a sound reinforcement and lighting company to design, purchase, and integrate the requisite facilities for a multi-camera iMag (image magnification) system for the client. The system is to be deployed for all manner of live performance including musical, theatrical, political, religious and corporate.

2015 - June 2016

Currently, in-post production of a seven-camera, 58 audio-channel video presentation as Producer/Director/Robotic Camera Operator of this four-day a week live music and theatrical presentation entitled: Live Venue Video Performance & More. The series captures all manner of national and regional musical and theatrical performances. For the engineering I designed and integrated the seven-camera hybrid robotic/manned SD/SDI broadcast production system and continue in its operational maintenance.

With the successful capture of the media-elements, I augment and execute social media marketing and promotion across multiple platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Periscope, and Livestream. The engaging media-content promotions and campaigns to reinforce brand-awareness have utilized general postings as well as calendars, SEO/keywords with automated reporting. Review of factors such as engagement statistic including analytics, demographics, trends, feedback, and opportunities provided expanded, leveraged distribution with increasing UE. 2013-2015

Designed and integrated (constructed) a multi-camera, broadcast video "flite-Pak" production system for "The Track Show." This broadcast group produces live coverage of track and field events producing over 200 events annually. A technical highlight of the ensemble includes a bonded wireless, multi- channel adaptive bitrate HD (high definition) Internet streaming solution providing full HD broadcast quality transmission without the need for conventional methodologies such as satellite uplink trucks or microwave solutions.

2013-Present (select highlights)

On-going Engineering design and construction of broadcast production systems and on-going operation as Producer/Director/Robotic Camera Operator and production facilities owner for live recording of music video and broadcast and theatrical clientele. Produced and directed a music video to support the California-based, national touring band “Metalachi” performing the classic rock song “The Ace of Spades” in their signature Southwestern Mariachi music style. The video was shot based on a concept suggested by Metalachi Producer/manager Eric Travis and was written and directed by NJ-based Director/Director of Photography Riki B. who also provided Steadicam operation and technical support. The editing was performed by NJ-based editor Vann Weller with Burks’ oversight. Continued advanced Steadicam Operation for video production along with conventional EFP video production while designing and constructing several mobile multi-camera production systems in both truck-based and hybrid portable flite-Pak configurations. These were used for corporate and broadcast production. Most recently Riki B. introduced a 5-camera integrated wireless video production package with visual monitoring/live switching and 8-channel duplex wireless intercom system designed for fashion, festivals and live performance music.

Steadicam Operator/Inventor/Operator and trainer for Cinema Products (the original Steadicam manufacturer) for EFP and conventional productions for such broadcast television clients as ‘E!’ Entertainment Channel, ESPN, HBO, BET, ABC Network, General Media, CBS Network, BBC, WTN along with numerous independent producers, record companies and corporate video producers. Was personally trained by Steadicam inventor Garratt Brown and proudly became one of the first 100 International Operators of this award-winning device. 1982-1986
