CAREER SUMMARY
Over 20 years employee benefits sales/consulting/communications to include National Enrollment Coordinator/project manager/presenter/enrollment specialist. Projects include major corporations, hospitals and hospital chains, government entities, national retail and restaurant chains, independent and local companies to sell payroll deduction insurance products through enrolling/communicating and implementing employee benefit programs. These projects would include being involved from the sale of the plan to the initial planning stages including budgeting/set-up of case with the client management as well as scheduling/hiring/training of the sales team. These projects would require my involvement from pre-sales through post-sales of the implementation process. I managed as many as 30 independent contractors nationwide and brought in $12 million in premium yearly for MetLife.
Employee benefits have included any and all payroll deduction plans: 125 Plans/401(k), group health-life-disability (core benefits) as well as supplemental benefits (life insurance, cancer plans, short and long-term disability, long-term care, accident, dental and vision.
Enrollment methodologies have included group presentations, one-on-one meetings, internet enrollments, benefit fairs, benefit statements, as well as enrolling by telephone for both new enrollees and upgrades of current participants.
7-Eleven was entirely enrolled by a staff of contract enrollers over the telephone. This project was for Lincoln Life as I recommended due to the logistics of the company. The project was so successful that MetLife then kept me on contract for the next eight years upon a recommendation by a Lincoln Life executive. One of my projects was to set up a telemarketing unit in Chicago for MetLife with the goal being to have this unit enroll those employees that the field enrollers were not able to visit with when on site. This unit brought in almost $2 million a year in premium that would otherwise have been lost.

Project Manager
1998 through 2010
From 1998 through 2010 continued to work as project manager for MetLife, however, not exclusively. I also worked for other companies nationwide as MetLife was uncomfortable keeping me on contract any longer. I declined to accept employment as I preferred to work contract. MetLife ultimately phased out of the supplemental payroll deduction market. The only enrollment work with MetLife is now group dental which is seasonal and minimal.
