Accomplishments and Information:

I entered on duty with the Border Patrol Department of Immigration Service on August 28, 1995 and graduated with honors in the top 10% of my class from the Federal Law Enforcement Center in Glynco, Ga on January 12, 1996 from the 292nd session. While at the Academy I received extensive training in Immigration, Nationality and Criminal Law. Physical Techniques, Firearms and Driver’s Training Courses, Human Behavioral courses and other related Law Enforcement Training.

As A Senior Border Patrol Agent, I have acquired an extensive knowledge in all aspects of Immigration Laws rules, regulations, procedures and policies. I was constantly abreast of all changes and applied them on a daily basis to ensure proper and quick disposition of complex cases. This was all accomplished by experience in the field and by various training courses that I have attended. I have maintained an outstanding liaison with local, state and federal agencies to keep informed of any new trends in smuggling (both Narcotics and Human), trafficking operations and to share any information that may develop.

I have extensive knowledge in all aspects of Border Patrol Operations, such as traffic check, line watch, sign cutting, transportation check, and roving patrol. Since entering on duty with the Border Patrol, I have apprehended, investigated and processed all aspects of narcotic drug and human smuggling cases. I have prepared extensive documentation for removal proceedings and coordinated with local Law Enforcement agencies for the swift incarceration of both habitual criminal and Immigration offenders.

Having been certified, I was assigned as a Spanish Instructor in Charleston,SC on three separate occasions for the 373rd (April 1997-September 1997) 427th(February 2000-July 2000)and the 518th(July 2002-November 2002) I supervised new trainees and taught them the Spanish language at the equivalent of 2yrs college level curriculum within a five month period. I was also assigned as a Law Instructor in Artesia, NM from November 2008-February 2009; I supervised new interns in all aspects of Immigration, Nationality and Weapons of Mass Destruction courses. I have been on the Laredo Sector Bike Patrol Unit from April 1996-April 1997; we patrolled the downtown area in support of the units stationary in the river area of the Port of Entry in order to prevent and or deter the entry of alleged Undocumented Aliens and in order to have a presence and support proper rapport with the local downtown vendors. I was also a Fleet Maintenance Officer for the Laredo North Border Patrol Station tasked with assuring the proper care and maintenance of all vehicles ready for daily use for operations. I purchased thousands of dollars in merchandise and care, maintenance products for the regular use for agents in the fleet. I purchases station Gasoline and oil for the use of vehicles, I tracked the usage of mileage in order to accurately process a unit for regular preventive maintenance, I inventoried all vehicles to ensure all equipment was in proper working order for daily use.

I have been certified on two separate occasions as a K-9 handler for the Laredo North Border Patrol Station in November of 1998 and February of 2003. I was assigned to the Checkpoint in order to detect concealed humans and Illicit Narcotics trying to further the entrance into the U.S. I was involved in many cases dealing with large amounts of Illegal contraband seizures along with Human smuggling operations. I relocated to the Yuma Sector Border Patrol Station in Yuma Arizona in July of 2005 and was assigned to the Yuma Sector Communications Center, tasked with support of the Agents in the field with watching 25 fixed cameras on 12 sights and vigilantly watch for movement on the river for the attempt of smugglers trying to make an entry into the U.S. illegally. I was an active participant in manning the cameras during several alien/drug apprehensions; I took several calls for distress calls and dispatched agents in the field as well as air support in order to find the people. I also helped in the life saving effort to find and Agent in dire need of assistance for he was lost in the field and received a commendation letter for the effort.

I was assigned as a Lead Prosecutions Officer for the Yuma Sector from April 2007-December 2007. I presented many cases for prosecution of both misdemeanor and felony cases dealing with Immigration violations, presenting misdemeanor, felony cases for illegal entry in the U.S. I did extensive research and investigative procedures in order to accurately prosecute Aggravated felons for proper case disposition in a Grand Jury setting. I also prosecuted several smuggling cases in a trial setting. I prepared documents for dissemination to the U.S. Attorney’s office and grand jury indictments for cases stemming from my investigations and quick disposition. I was a Yuma Sector Training Coordinator from January 2008-September 2008. I was tasked with assigning more than 700 agents to accurately maintain their training courses on a quarterly basis, dealing with all aspects of Law Enforcement courses and to track the process on several databases. I would ensure that upper level management would get a weekly report of all stations needs of side training that we could utilize on a day to day work performance. I then transferred in September 2008 to the Marfa Sector Border Patrol in Sanderson, Texas. There I was the Senior Agent tasked with learning new area of operations in Sign cutting, roving patrol.

I began my Government Service in May of 1988, when I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During my enlistment I was stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC, I did (2) six month tours in the Mediterranean Sea all over Europe in conjunction with foreign Military installations. We conducted several types of operations in which I was in charge of issuing millions of dollars of munitions in support of groups to complete the mission. During my career I spent several months in a leadership position in which I was responsible for the supervision of lower enlisted personnel. I departed the marine Corps in May of 1992 with an honorable discharge at the rank of (E-4) Corporal. I received National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal and several other awards for Desert Storm Operations during the Gulf War.

I was awarded the INS Outstanding Performance Rating Appraisal, April 1997-September 1998, October, 1999-February 2000, February 2000-July 2000, July 2000-March 2001, April 2001-April 2002. Awarded Quality Step Increase for Outstanding Rating in March 2001. Awarded Employee of the month in Laredo Texas for November 2000 and October 2001. Outstanding Performance Ratings from October 2004-October 2009.

Chenega Security Solutions under contract for NASA Security Police. I was a Supervisor at Ellington field, conducting access control, guard mount, issue weapons, gear, and ammunition. Patrol Ellington field and issue citations for various violations under proprietary jurisdiction under NASA federal arrest authority.

Paragon Systems Trainer-National Weapons Detection Training Program Instructor under contract for Department of Homeland Security.

Train Officers in all aspects of the Screener stations to include Security Entry control, Walk-through Metal Detector, Handheld Metal Detector and X-ray machine operations in order to detect weapons and explosives from entering Federal Buildings. Certified in Baton/OC, Advance Medical Training, first aid CPR and AED from American Red Cross in order to train new hires and for all incumbents. Conduct Screening Operations Assessment Reports and Quality Post Inspections on all buildings manned by officers on a monthly basis to ensure Statement of Work is being adhered to by the officers. Write monthly QC reports to the Project manager on deficiencies found at each facility.

I currently hold the position of Security Officer/Adjunct Instructor with Inter-Con Security.

I am currently on call basis with National Organ Recovery Transportation Alliance as a driver transporting both surgical teams to and from the airport. Picking up and transporting to the hospital Organs.
