From August 8th, 2007, To August 9th, 2012: Full time FNP with the Winslow Indian Health Care Center. Often solo Provider at busy remote, rural Satellite clinic approx 60 miles north of Winslow, Serving daily urgent and chronic health care needs, all ages in the 4-Corners traditional Navajo and Hopi cultures. I saw up to 24 patients per day. Daily acuity ranged from routine primary care of all ages, to pneumonia, seizures, domestic abuse, and alcoholism-related problems, stabilization and subsequent transport of incipient childbirth, stroke, mi, burns and multiple trauma. I served a large population of fragile, elderly, often poorly controlled diabetics and their multiple co-morbidities. My practice included routine Women’s Health.
