Nov 2019 to date:

Agriculture Consultant

Handled projects on turnkey basis with mid size farms. Activities include but not limited to planning, organizing and monitoring the execution of all agronomic operations right from land preparation to processing and adherence to organic practices based on NPOP, USDA and European standards. Handling post harvest, value addition and retailing.

Bulk preparation of organic formulations for routine requirement, soil fertility management, pest management and irrigation scheduling, ensuring strict quality standards for post harvest activities. Soil sampling for analysis and soil profile studies.

Conversion of conventional farm into certified organic farm using traditional farming methods and professional expertise, helping to increase the farmer’s annual income.

Maintain cultivation practices based on global GAP standards and work closely with harvesting packing and quality management to produce the highest quality products.

Last project handled for a 1000 acres apple orchard in Bouctouche, New Brunswick named Canadian National Growers.

May 2009 to June 2019:

Partner at “Applied Career Enhancement”

Set up an HR firm which is into end to end Human Resources Solutions, based in Mumbai – with Pan India presence. Basically into Outsourcing, Recruitment, Training, Developing HR Manual & Practices. ACE has a team of about 35 professionals working across 6 offices, catering to different industries across the spectrum. One of the few H R firms which has been awarded IS0 9001:2008 Certification for Quality Management System, by BM TRADA.

Main responsibilities include Business Development, Operations, Banking, Administration etc. Maintaining the profitability of the Business Unit – with an overview of the Top line & Bottom line.

Currently have a staff base of about 3,000 employees working across 25 different client companies.

October 2005 to April 2009:

Zonal Manager – Heading the Western Zone’s Staffing business of IMS Empresaria, a UK based HR Company, with pan India presence.

Main responsibility includes Business Development, Client Relationship, handling the Recruitments & other back end process activity.

Complete knowledge & working of Operations, which has been used to set up the process, involved in the Out-Sourcing division.

Coordinating with different locations in the zone for Planning and Executing the Sales Strategy; also involved in payment collections from the Clients.

In a short span of time, have signed a record number of clients; having a deputee base of over 1000 employees. Commendable considering that the company is in the second year of operation.

Handling a team of 14 recruiters and 3 HRD staff to look after the complete Western Zone.

To liaison with various government departments for statutory compliances.

Responsible for the Induction Program of the deputees coming on board, held at various locations, through-out the region.

Building up a high performing team by virtue of bring in & retaining superior talent.

Implementing policies in the organization for the welfare of staff to bring in more efficiency.

Set up branches and start operations in different locations.

Worked with Aviva Life Insurance as a Sales Manager.

Recruited a team of 16 advisors who were amongst the top 20 advisors of the branch.

Consistently a top performer of the branch.

October 1993 to March 2003:

Worked as a Manager with United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Ltd. - Nilgiris, at a 4500 acre tea garden, for 8 years, having an impeccable track record.

Basic work involved Administration, liaison with the government departments, labour welfare management.
