Nov1999-March2015 Biomedical Engineer, United States Air force.

Troubleshoot to localize specific defective components in electronic, electro technical, high capacity equipment. Repairs on Airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, hydraulics,pressurization, utility, fuel, oil,pneumatic, and flight controls system Test all assemblies, and components to make sure they are operating properly. Performs and supervises periodic and repair of all types of equipment to specific component level., independently analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls. Plan and distribute work to be accomplished through subordinates providing oversight and instruction; evaluating performance and providing feedback; giving advice, counseling, or instructing on work and administrative matters; initiating employee training and development; resolving disciplinary and conduct issues; interviewing candidates for subordinate positions; and recommending appointments, promotions, and awards/recognition.

This equipment employs mechanical, electrical, electronic, solid state digital, microprocessor principals. Ensure that documentation is complete to comply with all State and Federal Regulations. Maintained logs on all serviced equipment. Ability to read and understand specifications, blueprints, and data. Used and maintained various standard specialized tools and test equipment of the trade. Ability to perform the duties of the aircraft mechanic without more than normal supervision.

Jan2006-present Biomedical Engineer, Toshiba Medical Systems

I develop performance standards for the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the Management of the Medical Equipment function. Annually estimates the budget, manpower and contract need of the Section after considering the needs and requests of affected Services throughout the Medical Center. Requests purchases and incur expenses for all material and parts deemed necessary for accomplishing the Section's mission. Coordinates section activities with service users throughout the Medical Center, serving as work scheduler, technical advisor and long-range planner. I serves as a member of various Medical Center Committees including the Environment of Care Committee, Equipment Committee, Safety Committee and SPD and Reusable Medical Equipment Committees. I am Responsible for formulating policies and procedures which relate to the Section's activities. I serve as the Medical Center's professional/technical expert in the field of Biomedical Engineering, and serve as advisor and consultant on issues involving technical medical equipment. I apply a broad knowledge of engineering concepts and methodologies as well as knowledge from a variety of scientific disciplines, including electronics, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, physiology and anatomy. I serve as advisor on projects involving complex technical medical equipment such as CT scanners, Cardiac Catheterization Labs, special procedures labs, linear accelerator, gamma cameras and magnetic resonance imagers. The incumbent analyzes requirements, developing specifications, inspecting construction sites, and evaluating the devices and systems under construction. I advise the Medical Center of the purchase of new equipment by examining the needs of the Service involved, developing specifications, and evaluate new devices and systems. knowledge of CISCO (or equivalent) equipment to include configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting; knowledge of aircraft, shore, and/or shipboard communications and network equipment to include configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting; experience I utilizes not only professional experience and education, but also understanding of the goals of the Medical Center and its budgetary constraints. I am responsible for the effective and safe utilization of medical equipment in the hospital. Coordinate and directs Installation, verifies operational integrity. Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures. Critiques the utilization of equipment and provides training for personal as needed.
