Senior Front End Developer – Architect

New Change Currency Ltd., United Kingdom Apr 2023 – Oct 2023 I developed new charts for Forwards 365 and real-time FX, starting from scratch using the Next.js framework and Highcharts. Commencing with a preliminary sketch, despite not possessing a complete understanding of the FX market, I ensured that the project could scale effectively. I established a well-structured setup for styling and testing, and I constructed numerous components to facilitate the learning process for other developers. The project is now well-prepared for scaling and can be further enhanced in parallel by junior, mid-level, or senior developers to implement new features and ideas.

Additionally, I managed a marketing project, diligently addressing all bugs and errors, standardizing content across all screens, and introducing new features with the assistance of Prismic to provide more robust editing capabilities. I also played a pivotal role in establishing new design processes utilizing Figma.

In summary, my work involved the transformation of provided journeys, designs, and sketches into functional components, views, and widgets using ReactJS, the Next.js framework, the MUI framework, TDD, and the latest best practices. I extensively leveraged Highcharts to bring the project's ideas to life, configuring charts, passing series data, and establishing connections to REST and websockets for data series retrieval.

Furthermore, I routinely utilized AI to validate my code ideas, generate new concepts, and evaluate the quality of my work, ensuring efficient development. In reality, I encountered numerous challenges to overcome and innovations to devise, all while starting from scratch and staying current with the latest market trends, including websockets and ai. I contributed significantly to the team's progress, shouldering the stress and learning curve.

Regrettably, I had to leave the project today due to an unforeseen minor misunderstanding. It was an unexpected turn of events for me. I am unable to assist individuals who may have mental health issues or those who advise against using AI, which is entirely baseless, such as blocking Copilot without reason. For 6 months I was very supportive and collaborative for the project as well as the team and I had no issues at all except a lot of work.
