AND NOW My LONG story in SHORT FORM…..I mean Resume….

I have been in the field since 1989 at age 17. And a CRT/RCP since 1995 age 23. I Have seen and done so many neat things. I enjoy sharing and acquiring new skills to help everyone for the ultimate goal of a positive patent experience.

I am definitely an enthusiastic patent advocate, easy to work with in any situation, Professional and proficient in carry out the role of a seasoned respiratory therapist with integrity. Confident in my skills and humble enough to know and admit when I am not.

*Expertise in management of artificial airways and mechanical ventilation in Critically Acute- Long term care setting.

* Excellent assessment skills and ability to obtain, monitor, identify, analyze, recognize, and communicate abnormal findings of clinical test results for appropriate treatment of pulmonary illness in conjunction with physician approval as well as educate patent, family members, and or caregivers. (ie: ABG, CXR, telemetry, LAB, microbiology,ect).

* Confident Management of mechanical ventilation /artificial airways/BIPAP in Emergency, sub-acute and long-term settings.

* Expertise of Insertion, changing and management of tracheotomy

* Exceptional in communication and collaboration with Physicians and Nurses in Acute and long term atmosphere.

** Able to effectively navigate a variety of Electronic health care record programs. (ie: EPIC, MCKEENISON, MICROSOFT, VISIQ, LANDMARK.)

* Set up, operate and trouble shoot RT related DME of many sorts

Invasive mechanical ventilators to non-invasive Bipap\Cpaps. Therapeutic gas apparatuses of many types, Bronchoscopes, and more.

* Properly handle dirty Equipment according to joint commission standards, Clean, process, reassemble and calibrate as needed.

* More than capable to prioritize and perform, routine skills of a staff RCP (ie. Oxygen therapy, administer medication treatments, CPT and related DME, Flutter/Acapella, Incentive spirometry, Bedside spirometry, Ambulatory and Nocturnal pulse oximetry, ABGs, Cord gases, Capillary gases, sputum aspirates-specimens, EKGs, Out patient cardiac event monitors)

* Administer Low and High flow Modalities of Oxygen therapy to meet the needs of age and disease specific patients.

* Administer many inhaled medications as prescribed per physicians order and per recommended delivery device.
